00:00The PBA Governor's Cup Finals will kick off on Sunday, as the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and TNT drop on Giga, each seek to come closer to a coveted title.

00:09On top of that, there will be a highly anticipated rubber match between superstar imports Josie Brown and Rondé Hollis Jefferson.

00:19Game 1 of the Season 49 PBA Governor's Cup will take place on Sunday, October 27, at the Inares Center, Antipolo.

00:30The highly awaited series opener will kick off Chapter 3 of the rivalry between Barangay Ginebra resident import Justin Brownlee and TNT drop on Giga reinforcement Rondé Hollis Jefferson.

00:43Last season, TNT defeated Ginebra in the finals of the Governor's Cup.

00:48The two previously clashed again in a rematch in the finals of the 2024 Asian Games, with Brownlee of Gilas, Pilipinas getting the better of Jordan's Hollis Jefferson in the gold medal game.

00:59RHJ did not deny that revenge will certainly be on his mind come game time.

01:05I mean, I still hold on to my senior high school loss.

01:09My last game of my career, I lost to Laura Marion, Colby's high school, and I still hold on to that to this day.

01:15I hold on to my Elite 8 losses to Frank Kaminski.

01:19Those things kind of motivate me to take it a step higher, work even harder, and just to not run out of battery.

01:28If Ginebra wins championship number 16, Brownlee will make history as the import with the most PBA titles.

01:36However, the Gilas, Pilipinas naturalized player said he needs no motivation other than delivering a coveted chip for his squad.

01:44I haven't been thinking about just winning another championship personally for myself or being the winningest.

01:50I haven't thought about being the winningest import, but just focus on just each day, just trying to get better and better.

01:58Even with this week, we've been trying to get better and more prepared or as prepared as we can.

02:03So that's all I'm focusing on, just whatever's right in front of me.

02:07Barangay Ginebra booked a ticket to the finals by grinding out a tough semis game 6 against sister teams San Miguel Beater.

02:15Meanwhile, TNT made easy work of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters to get a chance to win back-to-back titles in the Governor's Cup.
