00:51But not everyone knows that a storm is coming.

00:54Because Balera is one of the places in Luzon where the possibility of a Pepito storm

01:06But they have one thing that they are afraid of,

01:08that a severe storm may hit their life and property.

01:12Whenever there is a storm in coastal areas,

01:14the real threat is not the strong wind,

01:17but the pressure of this wind on the sea water towards the towns.

01:21This is called a storm surge.

01:23It's like a tsunami that hits the sea water

01:26that may enter the community and cause danger to life and property.

01:32But Baler LGU hasn't stopped yet.

01:35In the 13 barangays of Baler, they are monitoring 3 of them.

01:39These are the barangays that are being affected by the storm surge and flooding.

01:43More than 4,000 families or 15,000 people may be affected.

01:48We will siren the next three sirens.

01:51Tomorrow morning, we will have the second siren.

01:55The second siren will mean that we will evacuate.
