Leeds United: Largie Ramazani continues to shine
Transcript
00:00Oh, well, then moving on. We'll go to a large a loggy. I always get that one. Yeah, go a large a large a large of Arizona
00:08who of course has been a bit of a standout as well in recent weeks certainly had a good game against Sheffield United's
00:14The question is, you know, obviously he did replace Christ send you some of the let's be honest in that in that team given his move to West Ham.
00:22Yeah, is he living up to expectations so far? Well, it would appear so I mean he certainly putting in the performance
00:29is but is he quite at the level of some of them in terms of what he achieved with Leeds just yet?
00:35Well, probably not quite yet. I'll definitely not quite yet in terms of output. Anyway, and so we've got members already got a couple of
00:40already got goals to his name and you know, and he's very lucky not to get another one against Sheffield United
00:45forced one outstanding save and also hit the post and I think he's actually probably a little bit maybe even a bit ahead of where maybe
00:51Leeds thought he might be and maybe where Daniel Farke might think he might have been because he was very keen to say when he came in,
00:57you know, you can't sort of replace players like for like and stuff and very obviously very keen to avoid the hole.
01:02This is the new Chris Enzio Somerville vibe because I mean that puts massive pressure on somebody when you sort of player of the season
01:07and you've got the goals and assists that he has but you know, he's settled in very, very quickly.
01:12And I mean to my eye, he already looks like like Leeds is star really. I'm going to say star.
01:18I mean, you sort of like you sort of star at in terms of like an attacking sense, you know, like someone who like stands out like in the final third
01:24and stuff because you can have best players and star players who are defenders obviously and you know, some people could argue like, you know,
01:30Pascal's like Leeds' most important player or whatever or they could say Joe Rodan is and stuff and or Ampadu when he's fit and you know,
01:36could totally agree with all of those, you know, 100%, you know, definitely big, big, big players.
01:40But when you start talking about players in the final third making things happen, he looks he almost he looks like the one already for me.
01:47I mean, you talk about Somerville, I won't go too overboard, but his first touch in that game against Sheffield United was absolutely outstanding
01:53and a couple of times he actually reminded me of Rafinha, the way he brought it down and stuff.
01:56It was sort of like just bringing it down. It almost like glued to his boot and like Rafinha used to do that a lot, you know,
02:01and look, I mean, he's not the next Rafinha or let's hope he is. You never know. He might be. He's four years younger.
02:06So he's got time on his side, hasn't he? But I mean, that's, you know, asking a lot for someone to be as good as him.
02:10He's like probably, you know, certainly one of Leeds' best ever modern day players.
02:13There's no doubt about that. And it was a joy to watch Rafinha.
02:15But equally at the moment, it's pleasing to watch Nadja Ramazani who does look a very good player.
02:20I mean, he's quick. He's got skill. As I say, amazing touch.
02:23He's already starting to get output to his game in terms of like goals and assists and stuff.
02:27And again, like we said with Rothwell, in terms of like he'll get better because he's not had that many starts.
02:32So will Ramazani. You know, he's still new to the club. He's still settling in.
02:35Probably still work, still improving in terms of like fitness wise and sort of like getting used to the physicality of the league and stuff.
02:41So they've got a very, very good player there. And, you know, I mean, obviously Nonto is the obvious one, I suppose, as well.
02:46Like we all know what he can do when he's on song. But so if you've got like Ramazani on one flank and Nonto on the other,
02:51and then obviously you've got Dan James waiting in the wings as well.
02:53You know, and they're attacking players Leeds have got.
02:56You know, it's a very serious front line in the Championship really.
02:59And, you know, with players like that, you know, they should be getting the hell out of the league to be quite honest with you.
03:04You know, like, I mean, players like that, Ramazani. So to my end, ÂŁ10 million.
03:08I mean, you know, that's decent money in the Championship.
03:13But even at this stage, especially his age, like that looks like a pretty decent purchase really.
03:17And I suspect, you know, he could end up being worth an awful lot more than that.
03:20So let's hope he fires Leeds to promotion, an automatic promotion.
03:24It certainly looks like, you know, he's got it within him to do that.
03:27And yeah, Rothwell and Tanaka sort of like, I suppose, got the plaudits in terms of man of the match, I suppose, against Blades.
03:33But he was very, very good as well, Ramazani. And as I say, his first touch was exceptional.
03:37So the more of that, the better.
03:39Indeed, yes. Well, that's the thing. I think, obviously, Leeds were crying out when we were doing these back in sort of the summer.
03:44And we knew that probably Warnock, Somerville or Nantes was going to depart the club.
03:48And you think, well, are they going to replace them in time? And they did credit to them. They did.
03:53But then you think, OK, is he good enough? And so far, fair enough. He's doing the business. So fair play to him.
