00:00Good news. Heavy rain and strong winds will be off the table this week thanks to high
00:04pressure stepping in, but sunshine will be limited to a lucky few. So Tuesday overall
00:10a cloudy start to the day with mist and fog patches. There will also be some light rain
00:14across the north west of the UK as well as some showery rain spreading southwards across
00:18parts of England and Wales. Into the afternoon the showers will tend to diminish as pressure
00:23starts to build, but more persistent rain will spread to the north west of Scotland
00:27and a few showers are still likely in the south. Now clouds will thin and break in places
00:32and the sunshine will be reserved mainly across eastern parts of Scotland, north east England,
00:36parts of Wales and central southern England most likely later on in the afternoon. Into
00:41the night mist and fog returns again particularly under the clear spells in the south and east
00:45and elsewhere it will be quite a cloudy and mild night. So another cloudy start to the
00:49day and a dull one into Wednesday. Mist and fog may be quite slow to clear. Into the afternoon
00:55there will be predominantly cloudy skies again, also some patchy rain spreading southwards
00:59across southern Scotland, northern Ireland and northern England. There will be a bit
01:03of brightness at times across the far north of the UK and the south. Tuesday and Wednesday
01:08though will both be fairly mild.
