00:00And at this point, let's discuss an update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the Goal.
00:24First of all, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. believes that the improvement of Lagundingen International Airport will give way to more active tourism and employment in the province of Mindanao.
00:40We are yet to discover the beautiful places in Mindanao.
00:44The proposed project will expand the capacity of the airport from 3.9 million in the first phase to 6.3 million in the next phase.
00:55According to our President, the addition of a concession agreement for the Lagundingen International Airport Public-Private Partnership Project, or PPP,
01:05will give an opportunity to expand the facilities, upgrade the terminals, increase the capacity, and bring the service to a stronger, better, and more sustainable path.
01:20We can remember that the PPP project for the upgrade, expansion, operations, and maintenance of Lagundingen International Airport was approved by the National Economic and Development Authority Board on July 23,
01:32and it aims to improve the so-called territory within 30 years.
01:39The NEDA Board also approved the two phases of capacity augmentation for the increase of its demand.
01:45This is a good step by the government to improve and develop our territories because tourists will immediately benefit from it.
01:53If you have a good airport, if you have a good territory, you will immediately have a good impression of the place you will go to.
02:00It's just an airport. How about the places you will visit?
02:04According to President Marcos Jr., air travel is already a challenge.
02:08It's up to us to provide a seamless service so that the tourists can feel the warmth and hospitality that the Filipinos can offer.
02:17For the locals who live around here, of course, the economy will run, but we still need to maintain our tourism sites.
