00:08The House Committee on Appropriations Chair and I, Bicol Partylist Representative Elizalde Co,
00:15are now pushing for the construction of large-scale water impounding facilities in the Bicol region
00:20to control the floods in the region and address the lack of water during dry season.
00:26According to Co, if this can be achieved, this initiative will be of great help
00:32not only to the climate resilience of the region, but also to food security.
00:37The first thing Co suggested was the accusation that the Bicol Flood Control Project has a billion pesos.
00:42And it was clarified that the 61 billion pesos funding in the region is not only for flood control,
00:49but also for the construction of houses, hospitals, schools, and road construction.
00:56For now, the relief efforts of Bicol Partylist continue for those affected by the Christine typhoon.
