00:00Local government units and their MDRRMOs joined hands with government agencies to provide
00:05badly needed services to the areas in Occidental Mindoro battered by Seville Tropical Storm
00:11Christine's recent passage.
00:13Among them, the provincial government helping out the BFP evacuate residents to higher and
00:18safer grounds as floodwaters rose and the Office of Civil Defense tracking numbers and
00:24relevant data as we hear more from Philippine Information Agency Occidental Mindoro's

00:33Different government agencies are working hand-in-hand to deliver different services
00:37to residents of Occidental Mindoro affected by Typhoon Christine.
00:41The MDRRMOs and other frontline government agencies such as the Bureau of Fire Protection
00:47facilitated the evacuation of residents to safer grounds during the onslaught of the
00:52typhoon in Occidental Mindoro last week.
00:55The Provincial and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Offices, meanwhile, provided
01:00hot meals to over 1,453 families equivalent to 4,631 individuals from different municipalities
01:08across the province.
01:10The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, has allocated 1,436 family food packs
01:19of which 782 were already distributed while the remaining others have been released yesterday.
01:25DSWD in Baropa also reported that for non-food items, it was able to distribute 7 modular
01:32tents, 30 family kits, 60 sleeping kits, 32 hygiene kits, and 5 laminated sacks.
01:39According to the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of Occidental Mindoro,
01:44the municipalities that were severely affected by the typhoon are Paluan, Mamburao, and the
01:49island municipalities of Lubang and Luok.
01:53Albert Di Maano, Paluan Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer, said that
01:5740 percent of the town's residential areas were submerged due to heavy rains brought
02:02by Christine.
02:04The highest flood was in Lumangbayan, reaching about 1.5 meters deep.
02:09In the Office of the Civil Defense Mimaropa's latest report, evacuated families in the province
02:14reached 1,453 families, or 4,631 individuals due to the typhoon.
02:21As of October 28, two families in Luok and eight families in Kalintaan remain at evacuation
02:27centers, the LGU reports.
