Transcript
00:00There was about 3,300 head of cattle here today, with a big run of heavyweight Good Angus feeder
00:05steers to kick off the first couple of lines. That's all very, very well today, yeah.
00:10Price-wise, how did you rate it compared to you last month, the last couple of sales you've seen?
00:15Oh look, last month I'd have to say it'd be $200 to $300 in places on some of those smaller cattle.
00:23We're very strong, the Good Angus steers were very strong. The bigger cattle, it's probably
00:29probably be $100 a deer, I'd say. Just all of a sudden from $3.60 to $3.70, into the $3.80s and
00:35$3.90s and even touching $4 for those good feeder steers again, which is really positive.
00:39Who are the main buyers here today? JNF Feedlot through JBS, they had a great run.
00:44Campbell Ross today for Hopkins River Pastoral Company. John Dawson for John Dawson Enterprises,
00:50that was a good order to pick up, hadn't been here before, I think. We also had Don Bowman
00:55from Elders of Canberra come in with buying some bigger cattle. Yeah, it was very strong,
01:00there was four or five main competitors going today.
