00:17A large fire and black smoke rose in the streets of Bagbag Public Cemetery in Novaliches, Quezon City earlier this morning

00:31after a fire broke out in the residential area just behind the cemetery's apartments.

00:37Firefighters and residents rushed to help.

00:43After more than an hour, the fire also broke out.

00:47Lola Saturnina told us that a fire broke out in their house

00:51that erupted from their electric fan.

00:55Authorities are still investigating the fire.

00:57My grandson said,

00:59Mom, it's a fire!

01:03What I did was I climbed up here.

01:05I looked.

01:07The pump was already on.

01:09Half of the pump was on.

01:12My grandchildren, I went down.

01:14This is all I got.

01:16My ID.

01:18None of our belongings were saved.

01:20According to Quezon City Fire Department Operations Chief Marvin Mari,

01:24three families were affected by the fire.

01:26Although no one was hurt or killed here.

01:30He reminded the public, especially those who will leave the house,

01:34Double check all our equipment.

01:36Make sure there are no sparks.

01:38And make sure that there are no candles left alive.

01:42Because of the incident,

01:44the operation of the cemetery was temporarily affected.
