With clubs and bar groups struggling across the country with the cost of living, we went out into the streets of Manchester to ask people if they are worried about the nighttime economy in the city.

00:00Hi I'm Theo with Manchester World today I'm out on the streets of Manchester asking people
00:03about clubs. Now in recent times 65 clubs have closed up and down the country and it's
00:07raised some questions about the night time economy. Here in Manchester there's a bustling
00:11nightlife with great bars and clubs that are really successful. So we want to know what
00:15people's best memories are and if they're worried about the night time economy either
00:18in this city or in the country as a whole. Obviously I work in the licensed hospitality
00:23industry and I look after groups and venues and stuff from a business level and I think
00:30that I am definitely worried about it. I'm a DJ so yeah I've played all over and you
00:37know rest in peace Roadhouse, you know rest in peace all the venues in Manchester that
00:43used to pop right off. I think that city centre venues are in a much better place than potentially
00:50venues on the outskirts in towns that are a lot quieter. I quite often see people that
00:55are travelling now from outside of the city to come in for a night out or to go for a
00:58meal and stuff like that.
