00:00Filipinos, whether by choice or circumstance, would often avail or choose of the very last
00:06opportunity to make a much-desired journey to be with loved ones, whether departed or
00:10not.
00:12That is what is expected to happen at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange, or
00:16PITX, tonight as some people try to catch trips to make that annual Undas exodus.
00:23Alan Francisco has the details.
00:27Here at the Naia or PITX, there are fewer passengers traveling today for all since day
00:31compared to yesterday.
00:33At the PITX, the passenger count has reached over 100,000 as of 6 p.m.
00:38These are passengers who are catching up on travel to their provinces to observe this
00:42solemn holiday and visit their departed loved ones.
00:46Some bus lines at the PITX are not in operation today, however, no passengers have been affected
00:51by this development.
00:53According to PITX management, even though some operators have temporarily halted the
00:57routes, all terminal routes are still operational and trips will continue until tomorrow.
01:02The PITX has also prepared additional vehicles to step in if any issues arise.
01:37Meanwhile, the situation at Naia Terminals is calmer today.
02:02According to the MIAA, the number of passengers is expected to increase again on Sunday.
02:15This coincides with the announcement yesterday by the new Naia Infrastructure Corporation,
02:20or NNIC, about a water service interruption by Manila Water Services, which affects Naia
02:25Terminal 3.
02:26The service interruption began at 2 p.m. today and will last until 6 a.m. on November 2.
02:31This is due to maintenance and repair activities.
02:33However, the NNIC assures it is prepared for such a situation.
02:38The MIAA also confirms.
03:00Likewise, the NNIC reminds passengers and stakeholders to conserve water during the
03:05service interruption.
03:06Alan Francisco, from the National TV Network, for a new and better Philippines.
