00:11Good evening, John Visayas and Ming Danao.
00:16The wind was strong in Cagayan where the typhoon Marsi landed twice before it left the country earlier this afternoon.
00:26Many houses were damaged, churches and businesses were destroyed.
00:31More than 10,000 families were evacuated to Cagayan and the peninsula was sold to other provinces.
00:38Maki Pulido has the story.
00:43The typhoon was raging in San Chasmira, Cagayan when a man tried to tie a rope.
00:51But later on, it came loose and the wind stopped.
00:56No one stayed at home, so they evacuated and spent the night at the neighbor's house.
01:01It was almost 9 o'clock in the evening when the typhoon landed, and San Chasmira was the second to be hit by the typhoon.
01:08In the town of Peña Blanca, a man was helped to climb up the Tawi Bridge and the man was trapped in the river.
01:15They were successful and the man was able to get out of the water.
01:18trapped in the river. They were successful and the man was in a good condition.
01:22The river also overflowed and flooded the road in the town of Aliakapan.
01:29Before it got dark yesterday, the typhoon hit the town of Gonzaga.
01:34The trees seemed to be dancing in the strong wind.
01:38The wind of the typhoon was also felt in Sarat, Ilocos Norte
01:52and in Lawag City, where there was no current for almost half an hour.
01:59In the strong wind, this car crashed into a light pole.
02:03The barricade of St. William Cathedral was also destroyed.
02:09The strong wind also swept away the typhoon.
02:15That's why the electricity poles of Ilocos Norte Electric Co-operative were destroyed.
02:20There was no electricity in many places.
02:23For GMA Integrated News, Mackie Pulido, 24 Hours.
02:28Authorities confiscated millions of pesos worth of milk for senior citizens
02:35and diabetics in a warehouse in Rizal.
02:38They are being sold at a cheaper price online, but it's fake.
02:44John Consulta, Exclusive.
02:48In Visa of Sir Chuarat, the warehouse was entered by the NBI Intellectual Property Rights Division
02:56in a private subdivision in Rizal.
02:59This warehouse, which contains counterfeit special milk for senior citizens and diabetics,
03:06served to the operatives.
03:08Some of the milk that was confiscated should be delivered to the clients who ordered it.
03:14We received a request to make a special milk.
03:21They claimed that Mackie had their product.
03:25We verified their complaint and we confirmed that there is an establishment in Rizal
03:36that sells counterfeit milk.
03:39We confiscated less than 4,000 cans of milk,
03:45which is worth more than 5 million pesos.
03:51According to the NBI, the sale of counterfeit milk is done online at a cheaper price.
03:57At first glance, you will think that you are buying original milk.
04:01But if you look closely, you will see the difference.
04:05According to the NBI, the milk company requested that they do not claim their name.
04:11The original label is printed on the can.
04:17This is a sticker that is attached to the can.
04:23It is an indication that the milk is counterfeit.
04:26We are not sure what the content or ingredient is.
04:31The content could be harmful, especially to their health.
04:35Instead of helping them, they did not go to the FDA.
04:39This is why it is very dangerous to our vulnerable citizens.
04:46The company that was raided by the NBI, which has not been released yet,
04:50will file a complaint against the trademark infringement and unfair competition.
04:53They will also ask the court to issue a ruling to destroy the milk cans
04:58so that they can no longer be sold in the market.
05:01The NBI reminds the public...
05:04If they buy milk, especially milk of this kind,
05:10to legitimate establishments, malls, or supermarkets,
05:15so that they will not be victims of these fake products.
05:20For GMA Integrated News, John Consulta.
05:24Rated 24 Hours.
05:27Expect some changes on the map of the Philippines
05:31following the President's signing of the two laws.
05:35The three sea lanes and the territory of the Philippines are being established
05:41in accordance with the 2016 Arbitral Award, which was awarded by Darlene Khan.
05:50President Ferdinand Barcos Jr. signed the Maritime Zones Law and Archipelagic Sea Lanes Law.
05:56The Maritime Zones Law establishes the territory of the Philippines
05:59in accordance with the 2016 Arbitral Award,
06:02including the part of the sea that is the country's,
06:05and if any, our exclusive economic zone.
06:08It is also formally stipulated in the law,
06:10the use of the name West Philippine Sea
06:12in the part of the South China Sea that is the Philippines.
06:16With these pieces of legislation,
06:18we align our domestic laws with international law.
06:21Specifically, the UN Convention on the Law of the Seas, or UNCLOS,
06:25to improve our capacity for governance
06:28and reinforce our maritime policies for economic development and for national security.
06:34We are staunchly committed to nurturing, cultivating, and protecting our maritime domain.
06:41The Archipelagic Sea Lanes Law officially establishes the three sea lanes of the Philippines.
06:46There are two routes leading to Ganluran.
06:49One is to the north and the other to the east.
06:51Only those routes can be used by all ships and airplanes of other countries.
06:56The designated Archipelagic Sea Lanes and Air Routes aim to facilitate safe passage for foreign ships and aircraft
07:03without compromising our national security,
07:06nor diminishing our capacity for good environmental stewardship.
07:11Because of the new law,
07:13it is expected that the next few days,
07:15the new look of the map of the Philippines will be released.
07:18Aside from the use of the name West Philippine Sea,
07:21the country will formally change its name to Benham Rise
07:24and it will become Philippine Rise or Talampas ng Pilipinas.
07:27We already have the maps prepared.
07:31We are just waiting for the implementing rules and regulations
07:36in order for us to modify or revise the maps that we have prepared accordingly
07:42until its final publication.
07:46When approved by the International Maritime Organization,
07:49the three sea lanes will be implemented by our government.
07:52Anyone who violates the new law may be punished
07:57such as poachers or illegal fishermen in our territory
08:00and foreign ships and airplanes will be removed from the designated sea lanes.
08:05But it is expected that this will not be recognized by China.
08:08The National Maritime Council admitted that additional funds are needed
08:12for the people and goods of the Philippines to be sufficient
08:15in order to implement these two laws.
08:17We need more assets, we need more bottoms,
08:20we need more technical capabilities to fully monitor, detect,
08:26and I don't want to say neutralize,
08:31but rather address any violations of our laws.
08:36For GMA Integrated News, Darlene Cai, for 24 Hours.

09:18But he said that he gave 14 million pesos as an investment
09:23in their business.
09:27According to Attorney Estrada,
09:28Ken Chan himself gave the victim money to invest.
09:32He promised 10% monthly interest.
09:36He was the one who actively solicited.
09:39He gave money to the complainant, to our client,
09:42and said that he will invest in the restaurant business.
09:45He promised that he will give a big monthly interest.
09:52It was already closed.
09:53It was already hidden.
09:54The business was gone.
09:55That's why the case happened.
09:56The police were not able to serve the arrest warrant.
09:59Did anyone receive the warrant?
10:01No.
10:02There was no one here in Mr. Ken Chan's house.
10:05This is the second time that the warrant of arrest was filed against Ken Chan.
10:09But there was still no one in their house
10:11on the first day of September 23,

11:35Their accomplice was the victim,
11:37the new lover of Alias Emma's ex-boyfriend.
11:40This was the result of the jealousy of the suspect.

16:19Kapuso, did you know that Quirino is a former part of Nueva Eviscaya?
16:24The province was formally directed by the Republic Act 6394 in 1971.
16:31And now, this is the youngest province in Cagayan Valley.
