00:19self-reported disaster preparedness level increased by 42 percent, showing an average
00:24score of 19.2 out of 50.
00:27Still, the HHI notes, the score remains relatively low for a disaster-prone country.
00:32The Cordillera Administrative Region reports the highest level of preparedness, with an
00:36average score of 24 out of 50, followed by Central Visayas with 21.5 and Western Visayas
00:42with 21.4.
00:44Filipinos score highest in information, but only a small percentage take steps to prepare
00:49for disasters, such as assembling go-bags, 27 percent, stocking up on medications, 32
00:55and having adequate insurance, 25 percent.
