Transcript
00:00Well, we are here after his final full time start at Phoenix raceway.
00:04Martin Truex Jr.
00:05Started on the pole and now he's sitting here shaking the hands of his fellow competitors.
00:10Championship 4 contender of Tyler Reddick.
00:12But Martin, let's walk through your final full time start here at Phoenix and your day.
00:17Started good, ended bad.
00:18Just, yeah, I don't know.
00:19Took off good there in the beginning and then lost track position, lost some of the handling
00:24and then it just kind of piled on.
00:28The more the track rubbed in, the more I lost the handling, the more I lost track position
00:31and then, you know, I thought maybe we could have a shot at getting it a little better
00:35and we got caught by the caution and had to stay out on old tires towards the end.
00:39So we couldn't even race for, you know, trying to go forward.
00:41So it was a little frustrating, but at least we got to lead a few laps in the beginning.
00:46That was fun.
00:47I know it hasn't set in yet and you just hopped out of the race car, but what are the emotions
00:50right now?
00:51I'm ready to go get in the woods and relax and see my friends and hang out with some
00:56people I love and just wind down.
00:59It's been a tough year and I'm glad it's over.
01:03Congratulations and thank you for everything.
