Police in Argentina are trying to locate Liam Payne's Rolex watch after his drug-fueled fatal fall from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room, TMZ has confirmed.

00:05This mystery has to do with hardware.
00:08$60,000 worth of hardware, his Rolex watch.
00:13And also, we're hearing something
00:16from the alleged drug dealer who spent time with Liam
00:19in his last few days.
00:21He is speaking out.
00:21But first, we've got to start with this watch.
00:24Police say that there is a $60,000 watch, a Rolex, which
00:29they have video footage, photos of him the day
00:34that he died wearing that watch.
00:36No one knows where that watch is now.
00:38And it has, obviously, police wondering who possibly
00:45took it off the body.
00:46So here, but here's the puzzling thing to me.
00:50There is clearly surveillance video
00:53of Liam falling to his death.
00:56Because they've determined that it was not intentional.
01:01And the only way they could really do that is to see video.
01:04So if they've seen that video, then it
01:07would seem odd to me that the watch was taken.
01:10And I know why you're making the assumption that there is video.
01:13Though they've yet to say they have video.

01:16And it's curious to me.
01:17Maybe it's just different there, but why the police
01:19wouldn't come out and say.

01:27able to see if somebody took it off him after he fell.

02:01They've now raided two homes of female escorts
02:05that Liam was allegedly with in the days leading up
02:08to his death.
02:10So maybe he was just around some unseemly individuals.
02:12The watch could have something to do with that.
02:14I think police are still running down every lead.
02:16They've charged the three people, the housekeeper who
02:18is accused of bringing the dove box bar of drugs.
02:23So there's just a lot of leads that they have to run down
02:25to really see what was going on.
02:27And there's a second element now.

02:29Well, the alleged drug dealer who
02:31is speaking out to the media down in Argentina,
02:35saying he did nothing wrong.
02:37And he acknowledges, and I obviously would have to,
02:40there are photos and videos of them hanging out,
02:43him hanging out with Liam.
02:44But he says he did nothing wrong.
02:47And also ascribes to that he's making
02:50it sound like he thinks, at least,
02:52that there is foul play.
02:53Because he said Liam didn't seem like the reckless type who
02:57would have put himself in a position
03:00where he could have fallen off of that balcony.
03:02Except there was a hotel worker who saw Liam in the lobby.
03:06And he was completely out of it.
03:08Right.
03:09So I think that kind of undercuts.
03:11What we don't know is when this alleged drug
03:13dealer was last with Liam.
03:15That's right.
03:16But we do know that there was somebody
03:18who saw him in the lobby.
03:19And Liam was.
03:21Multiple people saw him in the lobby and said he was out of it.

03:28We don't necessarily want to move on from the tragic death.
03:33But I think the bigger question that we have to ask ourselves
03:36is, aside from the escorts, aside
03:38from the watch going missing, which, yes, the data has noted
03:41a sentimentality around it, the values,
03:44obviously, in this economy.
03:45I mean, this golden Rolex going missing.
03:49But we do have to ask the question.
03:51Like, Liam clearly was not in the right state of mind
03:54and has been known to be battling other substance
03:58problems, addiction issues.
03:59And I think, again, the bigger question
04:01is, what is the real price of fame?
04:03And instead of maybe blaming those around him,
04:07maybe let's push a little deeper.
04:09I know people want closure and clarity.
04:10But the truth is, we're not really
04:11going to be getting that until the spring.

04:15about, like, the hotel worker who was doing what Liam
04:20had asked him to do.
04:22At a point, you do kind of have to look inward on this.
