00:00In the face of the strengthening of the tourism of the country, Cruise Tourism will be strengthened, according to President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

00:07This role is also very important, not only in giving opportunities to Filipinos, but also in strengthening our local economy.

00:20The country will strengthen Cruise Tourism.

00:23This is what President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. gave in his speech at Sea Trade Cruise Asia 2024,

00:29an event that was held to strengthen the potential of Asia as the destination of the cruise industry.

00:35According to the President, although the Philippines is already known as a cruise destination,

00:40he will continue the steps of the government to make the country more familiar with this industry,

00:45including the reorganization of ports and making the travel experience comfortable for tourists

00:51who are anchored in the National Tourism Development Plan 2023-2028.

01:15One of the good results of these steps by the government, according to the President,

01:25is the establishment of 125 cruise calls, or the establishment of 30 destinations in the country of cruise ships.

01:32He expects 109 cruise calls this year until 2027.

01:37It is a good thing that he will open opportunities in the local economy, especially in the communities.

01:45For passengers to step into our story, taste the richness of our cuisine,

01:51dance to the rhythms of our traditions, and carry beautiful memories of the Philippines back with them.
