00:00It will not be a hindrance to the long and difficult journey of helping our fellow countrymen who were hit by Hurricane Christine.

00:09This is what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised in front of the government's strongest relief and rehabilitation efforts.

00:17In addition, President Marcos Jr. ordered a project to study again to address the sudden flooding in Bicol Region.

00:39Using the C-130, President Marcos sent these tools from Metro Manila to Bicol Region.

00:48Satellite to have a communication line, generator set, and water filtration that will temporarily supply electricity and clean water.

00:59The tonnette of processed meat products and 1,000 cans of canned goods also arrived from private companies.

01:07In addition to this, 1,000 food packs and hydrogen kits were distributed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development

01:14for food supplies.

01:16Four trucks of rice arrived yesterday in Nagas City from the National Food Authority and Food Terminal, Inc.

01:25for the victims of the flood in Camarines Sur.

01:28The President assured that he will provide the most needed assistance to the victims of the calamity

01:36and continued rescue operations for those affected by the floods and landslides.

01:42There are still other places that are still being rescued.

01:46But of course, those in the evacuation centers that are being given relief goods,

01:51the cash benefits have already started to be given so that the people can go home.

02:02When they go home, they will have money for their needs.

02:06But we will continue to provide them with food packs as long as they can cook for themselves.

02:16The President also ordered the additional medical teams to be sent to Bicol.

02:22Public hospitals in Nagas City are still open, but most of the people are deployed in evacuation centers.

02:31The government assured that the supply of medicine is sufficient.

02:35So for the medical concerns, it's usually the medicines that we have to look up.

02:43First, the prophylaxis for the leptospirosis and all of the other diseases that come with the flooding.

02:54Hygiene kits, same thing. We have enough. We have enough supply.

03:02The health department promised to give Php 142 million as medical aid to the victims of the Christine earthquake.

03:11Meanwhile, President Marcos Jr. targeted to review the Bicol River Basin Development Program

03:18so that the affected areas will not be affected again due to the heavy flooding.

03:23We really need to think about what we are going to do in the long term

03:28because you cannot expect any changes.

03:32The next time it rains, eto na naman tayo. It will be the same situation all over again.
