00:00We'll be right back with more coverage of the Dallas Cowboys.
00:06Zach Prescott down for the remaining parts of the regular
00:09season, getting hamstring surgery. He says, I'm going to
00:12be perfect next year, but tubsy, that doesn't help the
00:15Cowboys out this year. What a devastating terrible bit of
00:18news for the Dallas Cowboys for 2024.
00:21Things go from bad to worse. I guess the way that we got
00:24this this update from Jerry Jones as he joined the
00:27team on Thursday afternoon, not great for Zach Prescott.
00:30I mean, got the bag in the offseason. You look at what
00:33it's, you know, it's been a culmination of just
00:36misfires, a lack of chemistry. There's been no cohesion
00:39for the Dallas Cowboys on that offense.
00:42The defense has gone missing. They haven't been able to play
00:45in Jerry's world because they can't figure out a couple of
00:48curtains there in the stadium. But this is this is a massive
00:51blow for Zach Prescott. I mean, a quarterback who gives
00:54absolute all and as he should because he's absolutely getting
00:57paid to do so. But for the Dallas Cowboys,
01:00where to next? I think this is just the the start
01:03of a couple of big chips to fall over there for
01:06Jerry's world.
01:08And by the way, like Cooper Rush, who filled in
01:11admirably the past couple years as being a backup quarterback,
01:14showing the ability to win football games. Dubsy watching
01:16that game on Sunday afternoon against the Philadelphia Eagles.
01:18It looked like he never played football before. Now,
01:21he's automatically named the starter for Monday football,
01:23which tells you what they think about Trey Lance, a guy that
01:25they probably should be getting a look. See, he came into
01:28the game on Sunday. He looked equally as bad, but least he has
01:30a little bit more athletic ability. The sign of the times
01:33here for Dallas. I mean, how far can they fall this year
01:35and maybe get up in the top five in drafting position?
01:38Looks like maybe that's a possibility. Let's keep taking
01:40look at some injuries, but injuries in a good way.
01:43That's Isaiah Pacheco. Remember, he got injured. He's on the
01:45mend and on the way back. One of the toughest running
01:48backs in the NFL, the leader of the ground game for
01:51the Chiefs. That practice window has now been opened here.
01:54We'll see how quickly he gets back, because this week,
01:56Dubs, they're going to take on the Buffalo Bills.
01:58Yeah, and this has been a really tough matchup going against
02:01the Bills in the regular season. But when Patty Mahomes
02:04is disrespected there by the oddsmakers, he shows up
02:07time and time again. I feel like I'm coming on this show
02:10every week, Donnie, on a Wednesday, saying this is the
02:12week that the Chiefs are going down. They've had a couple
02:15of close calls. I mean, it was the OT two weeks ago.
02:18The Denver Broncos should have won that football game.
02:21Unfortunately, missed firing, trying to get that field goal
02:24late there. But I think it's a great matchup for the Bills.
02:27It's a great addition for the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean,
02:29a couple of weeks ago, you're thinking, what are they going
02:32to do with the wide receiving court? Well, welcome back
02:35in prime time. DeAndre Hopkins has looked fantastic.
02:38Travis Kelsey is playing better football each week.
02:41He's seen a lot of production, and now they've got that
02:44run game with Kareem Hunt, Isaiah Pacheco coming back
02:47into the mix, whether it's going to be for week 11
02:50or the next one. This is a great addition to bolster
02:53the Kansas City Chiefs, because right now, we're looking
02:55at the box scores, saying, how are they getting these wins?
02:58They're just figuring out a way. Watch out if they can get
03:01back to full health or close enough. They're going to be
03:03a very tough out.
03:05Yep, we'll see if they can hold up there against the
03:07Bills Mafia this weekend. Great game here. That game's
03:09going to take place 425, the national 4 o'clock game.
03:12If we flip it over to another game here, Dubsy, Baltimore
03:15and Pittsburgh, this is going to be greatness here.
03:17It's the AFC and North Supremacy on the line.
03:19Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson, but in order to contain
03:22Lamar Jackson, you need all your pass rush available.
03:25That's not going to be the case. Alex Highsmith here,
03:27out Sunday, but gets good news overall on the injury.
03:30So I guess that's good news for Pittsburgh, but boy,
03:32you'll love to have him on the other side of TJ Watt
03:35this weekend.
03:36Yes, Alex Highsmith will not play. Nick Herbig will return
03:40to action there. We got that mail coming across to
03:43Mike Tomlin. Yes, the Pittsburgh Steelers, they're
03:46playing some nice-looking football. Suddenly, they've
03:48got Danger Russ, who's getting that passing game
03:50unlocked vertical down the field, but absolutely going
03:53to need a lot of pressure on the other side of the ball
03:56there. So more to come on Alex Highsmith. Really didn't
03:58get a lot of information with that update. It was just
04:01Tomlin telling us he's not going to be available this
04:03week. So hopefully it's a quick turnaround and let's
04:06see how big Nick comes back into the fold as well.
04:09Great atmosphere at Akershire Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
04:11How's that game at 1 o'clock? I have no idea. That
04:13sounds like it should be a Sunday night football game.
04:16Other news out there, Seattle and San Francisco going
04:18to tangle this week for the NFC West here, trying to
04:20move up and down in the standings. How about this?
04:22Diamandour Lenoir, great defensive back for the 49ers.
04:25Five years, 92 mili in that back pocket, Dubs.
04:29I really wish I was better at football, better at sports,
04:33just an athlete at some kind of sport. We knew Lenoir
04:36has been that good. It was only going to be a matter
04:38of time. So this is a monster agreement, a monster
04:41extension there. Five years, 92 mil. Should have just
04:45rounded up. Give him a hundred. Why not?
