00:00There is a big threat of a typhoon in the country.

00:04What are the places where typhoons will pass?

00:07Find out in the story of Benji Durango.

00:12The typhoon Ophel is about to leave.

00:14It is now far away, 205 west-northwest of Itbay and Batanes.

00:17It is still signal number 1 while the power is being sent out.

00:20But the typhoon Pepito is getting closer.

00:22According to the latest forecast,

00:24this afternoon, at 485 kilometers,

00:27the typhoon will reach Gihuan Eastern Summer.

00:29The wind speed is 150 to 185 kilometers per hour

00:34while the speed is 30 kilometers per hour.

00:36The typhoon is getting stronger by the hour

00:38because of the rapid intensification.

00:40That is why it is expected to be a super typhoon tomorrow.

00:43For now, it is expected that the weather will improve

00:45in some places in Visayas and Luzon.

00:4722 places in the northern and eastern portion of Samar

00:50are now under signal number 2

00:52while signal number 1 is 26 places in Luzon

00:56and the northern and eastern parts of Samar and Biliran.

00:59It is now being monitored by Pagasa

01:00where the typhoon will enter

01:02tomorrow night or Sunday morning.

01:04Some of the possible landfall places are

01:06Catanduanes, Camarinesur, Albay, Sorosogon, Quezon, or Aurora.

01:11But Pagasa explains that the stronger wind

01:13is not in the eyes of the typhoon

01:15but is around it.

01:16The width of the typhoon is 760 kilometers

01:19that is why many places will experience a harsh weather

01:21as it travels west-northwest.

01:24Stronger winds can also be experienced in coastal areas

01:27and high places where the typhoon can reach.

01:30Signal number 5 is the highest wind signal

01:33that Pagasa can declare

01:34while the typhoon is approaching.

01:36The first places to experience a rainless typhoon

01:38are Saturday afternoon in northern Samar,

01:41Sorosogon, Bicol region, and Catanduanes.

01:44Heavy rainfall can be experienced here.

01:47As for the dams in Luzon,

01:48the water is already at a normal high level.

01:50This means that the rainwater can again

01:54If Pagasa is right,

01:56the typhoon will pass through Bicol region,

01:58Quezon, Central Luzon, and Pangasinan

02:01before the West Philippine Sea

02:03will see the typhoon Pepito.
