00:00Government aid has been distributed to more than 51 individuals in Pangasinan affected by the Super Typhoon Pepito.
00:08This is Marie Coquia of Radyo Pilipinas with the national news.
00:14The government continues to distribute aid to the 6,414 families
00:20that are made up of 51,230 individuals affected by the Super Typhoon Pepito in Pangasinan.
00:28According to Lani Bolivar, PSWDO Social Welfare Officer,
00:32100% of the affected families were given Family Food Packs by their respective LGUs.
00:39The government also distributed 74 Food Packs to the evacuees at the Provincial Evacuation Center in Linggayen.
00:47In addition, Bolivar prepared 20,000 Family Food Packs as an augmentation to the LGUs if necessary.
00:55The DSWD Region 1 also prepared 75,411 Family Food Packs and 9,695 Non-Food Items
01:04where 6,207 Family Food Packs and 656 Non-Food Items are in their satellite warehouse in Pangasinan.
01:12In a separate interview, Pia Flores, Pangasinan PDRRMO Emergency Operations Center Assistant Director,
01:20noted that most of the evacuees have already returned to their homes,
01:23except for those in Dagupan City that are still flooded.
01:27Flores noted that the landslides in Maliko, Bayan, and San Nicolás have been cleaned
01:32and that a lane of roads will pass.
01:34The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development,
01:38which is affiliated with the LGUs,
01:40is responsible for the Emergency Shelter Assistance Program for the residents whose homes were damaged.
01:45Flores noted that the PDRRMO has already allocated P11 million for mangoes, fruits, and vegetables.
01:53According to the original request of the Department of Agriculture and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources,
01:59which is still in the process of validation in the sector of agriculture and fisheries,
02:05they have already distributed buffer seeds and are preparing fingerlings for affected farmers and fishermen.
