00:00It is expected that relief goods will be delivered more easily to places affected by the typhoon.

00:08It is a continuation of the proposed free travel of aid to the country.

00:15In the plenary session of the House of Representatives,

00:17congressmen approved the House Bill No. 10924 or the Free Transportation of Relief Goods Act.

00:27If the President passes,

00:29the National and Regional Logistics Cluster will assign to the President of the Office of Civil Defense,

00:35Department of Transportation, Philippine Postal Corporation,

00:39freight companies, common carriers, private carriers,

00:43and other logistic companies that will deliver free freight services

00:47to duly registered organizations that will conduct relief operations.

00:52According to House Speaker Martin Romualdez,

00:55once the transportation costs of the travel of relief goods are released,

00:59the quick arrival of relief goods to our countrymen will be assured.

01:06Aside from this, the last reading of the House of Representatives

01:10also approved two amendments for the welfare of overseas Filipino workers.

01:15That includes the House Bill No. 10959 that will provide protection

01:20and a 50% discount on remittances to their loved ones in the Philippines.

01:28And House Bill No. 10914 or the so-called Free OFW Financial Education Act

01:35that will provide free education to OFWs on proper use and payment of their money.

01:43At the same time, this is also good news for grandparents.

01:47House Bill No. 10985 or the so-called Free OFW Financial Education Act

01:50will also be approved by the House of Representatives

01:54so that senior citizens can still be employed even if they reach retirement age.

01:59This will also provide additional benefits to them.
