00:00In the last reading of the Camera, some important bills were passed that are expected to bring benefits and prosperity to our countrymen once the bill is passed.

00:12One of them is the Free Transportation of Relief Goods Act.

00:23Relief goods are expected to be delivered to places affected by the typhoon.

00:30This is a continuation of the law on how to make the travel of relief goods free in the country.

00:37In the plenary session of the camera, congressmen approved the House Bill No. 10924 or Free Transportation of Relief Goods Act.

00:49Once passed by the President, the National and Regional Logistics Cluster will order the Department of Transportation,

00:59Philippine Postal Corporation, freight companies, common carriers, private carriers, and other logistic companies

01:06to deliver free freight services to duly registered organizations that will conduct relief operations.

01:14According to House Speaker Martin Romualdez,

01:16once the transportation costs of the travel of relief goods are released,

01:20the quick arrival of relief goods to our countrymen will be assured in the time that is needed.

01:28Aside from this, in the last reading of the camera,

01:31the two amendments for the welfare of overseas Filipino workers were also approved.

01:37The House Bill No. 10959, which will provide protection and a 50% discount on remittances

01:44or payment for sending money by OFWs to their loved ones in the Philippines,

01:50and the House Bill No. 10914 or Free OFW Financial Education Act,

01:56which will provide free education to OFWs on proper use and payment of their money.

02:04At the same time, this is also good news for grandparents.

02:08The House Bill No. 10985 was also passed by the camera

02:13or how to provide relief to senior citizens so that they can still be employed even if they reach retirement age.

02:21It also aims to provide additional benefits to them.
