Snow and ice is already causing disruption for some across the UK this week, but will it reach Bristol? In the South West, the Met Office is forecasting blustery showers spreading eastwards, with drier spells to follow.

00:09by surprise. But the cold weather is forecast to stay in Bristol and could cause some disruption
00:17to the city. For the next few days, the Met Office has
00:24forecasted chilly starts with some showers but for mostly staying dry with some sunny
00:30spells with cold and lighter winds for a time with a maximum temperature of around 8 degrees.
00:39Due to the cold weather, the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol has been activated in the
00:44city of Bristol due to the freezing temperatures hitting the southwest. This means that extra
00:51accommodation will be made available to ensure homeless people and those vulnerably housed
00:56do not have to sleep on the streets.
