00:00So, as ever, there is loads on in the news in the city of Bristol this week. So Charlie,
00:07can you tell me what is our first top news story this week?
00:12Our top story this week is that a new pop-up Christmas shop has opened in one of the last
00:19few remaining historic buildings in Broadmead. So this is the Bristol pop-up shop, which
00:27has been set up in what was Jack Wheels at the Gallery Shopping Centre, which shut down
00:34at the start of the year. And the pop-up, which has been running in various locations
00:41for seven years now, is selling handmade gifts and presents in the run-up to Christmas Day.
00:51Thank you, Charlie. So that sounds like a lovely one for Broadmead. Shall we move on
00:56to our second top news story? Tell me about that.
01:01Next is that iconic glassware and jewellery shop in Bristol City Centre has announced
01:08it is closing down next year. So this is Bristol Blue Glass on High Street near the Old City,
01:17which is set to close its doors for good at the end of January 2025. This will be when
01:24its lease runs out. And in a statement, the shop said that it has struggled.
01:32Thank you, Charlie. So we will see how that one pans in the coming months and year. So
01:38shall we move on to our final top news story? Tell me about that.
01:42Finally is that a Michelin-recommended restaurant in Bristol has opened a brand new bar. So
01:49Tare Bar has opened at Cargo 2 as what is being described as a vibrant and fun addition
01:57to Wrapping Wharf near the harbourside.
