00:00Kang sent a bunch of texts over, Martin in a truck says Sewell is the MVP, Robert in
00:05Wesleyan says MVP could be Kirby Joseph, his interceptions at crucial times have iced games.
00:12Unnamed texter besides Goff, the Lions offensive MVP is Penne, impacts the run game so much
00:17as well as giving Goff time to throw.
00:21MVP is Sewell outside of Goff, it's not close, that's from Hines in Clarkston.
00:28I feel like it's not close in an argument, they always tell me it's actually pretty close
00:34but you're just trying to put a hammer down and you're planting your flag and you're sticking
00:39to it.
00:41The Lions MVP, I think it's Goff, without Goff I'd say Sewell, every play begins with
00:46him.
00:47Lamar at work says I would say David Montgomery, from an unnamed texter it's definitely Brian
00:51Branch.
00:53So these are all opinions as to if it's not Goff who is it and the reason we brought it
00:58up is because the other morning on get up, they were talking about who the Lions MVP
01:02was and Dominic Foxworth said the following.
01:28There you go, Penne Sewell who ran the 40 yard dash in 5.09 seconds at his size and
01:48as Jared Goff likes to say there's nothing he can't do.
01:51Now I would argue it's Goff but Dominic Foxworth including Goff says it's Penne Sewell.
01:58Suffice to say a lot of choices.
02:00Yeah I mean look if there's no Penne Sewell is Goff able to do what he does?
02:06Well I mean the drop off that you always, this is a wins above replacement like who
02:11is the replacement?
02:12You go from the best right tackle in football to an average backup in football and I think
02:21there's a massive breakdown and you'd see a lot of issues but this is why I love this
02:26team because this is the epitome of what the word team means.
02:31Everybody works together to make each other better and the coach does a great job of making
02:37sure the culture is right, the coordinators do the right job and a great job of putting
02:42the people in place to succeed.
02:45I mean it's a team game but in the end everyone knows the quarterback is the most important
02:49position on the field.
02:50I mean it's just a fact and that doesn't take away from everyone else what they're doing
02:55because I mean we got so many suggestions right?
02:56Isn't it great that you can kind of make a case for a bunch of different guys?
03:00Brian Branch is playing at an all pro level and by the way the guy who plays next to him
03:04leads the league in interceptions and then you go to St. Brown he's an automatic.
03:08You need a catch, first down, end the game, whatever it is, you can go to him anytime.
03:13The two running backs back there, Sonic and Knuckles, I mean there's not a better tandem
03:17in the league in my opinion but Goff makes this whole thing run because he's got to make
03:20all these decisions, all these calls on the line.
03:23But if you're picking for me other than Goff who's MVP, I think it is Penesu because it
03:29all starts with the offensive line and he does, like Foxworth says, he kind of plays
03:33multiple offensive line positions from one guy and to be able to block 2, 3, 4 guys,
03:40what he does is tremendous and it's pass pro, it's running schemes.
03:45He does so much.
03:46Yeah, it's like Jansen's porn watching Penesu play the way he plays the offensive line.
03:54Gator, I mean, how do you respond to that?
03:57I thought that Frank Ragnell was his favorite.
04:00Yeah, I think it is but I think he has a football crush on Penesu.
