00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press on it's Friday, November the 22nd,
00:05bringing you some of our headlines this morning.
00:08We have one from the police, a proactive campaign they've been undertaking.
00:14Officers in Doncaster used a mobile knife arch in the city last weekend as part of a
00:20week of dedicated activities to tackling knife crime across the county.
00:26Basically the knife arch, it's like a metal detector if you want, and people walk through
00:33it and it alerts police to if they're carrying an offensive weapon.
00:38So that's on the website today and the details of what that involved.
00:43So then also, what have we got?
00:46Yeah, on our regular food hygiene ratings that we put out, we sent one out to you regarding
00:54a takeaway chain, a very, very well known takeaway chain that was visited by food inspectors
01:00recently and it received a two food hygiene rating.
01:04Which isn't really bad, it isn't really good, it means that some improvement is necessary.
01:09You can find out which chain that is by clicking on that story also today.
01:14And then finally, one from the council, a planning matter.
01:19Plans have been submitted to convert the former Wormsworth Social Club into a supermarket.
01:25It is the sort of building that would suit a supermarket, having looked at it.
01:31So you can read what the council thought about that application also on the website this
01:37morning.
01:38So for those three stories and for anything else that's happening in Doncaster, please
01:42visit www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and we'll keep you updated throughout the day.
01:50And if I don't speak to you again, have a great weekend.
