- "at 5 (minutes) to (the hour)" is a Greek idiom, equivalent to "at the last minute".

- The Scorpion fish (Scorpionfish or Scorpaena) is a genus of large fish, which live in warm and temperate seas, including the eastern Mediterranean Sea. But it is unrelated to the zodiac sign of Scorpio!

- Dimitris Avramopoulos used to be mayor of Athens. In 1997, he had a "Christmas tree" constructed in Athens, which was almost 40m tall and had up to 180.000 lights. - "Kseri" is a Greek card game, for 2 or 4 players. The total number of points per game is 25, plus 10 points for each "kseri" that a player achieves (if any). Zouboulia counts her own points first (3), so she knows that Anna's points are 22 plus an extra 10 points for her one "kseri".
