00:00We begin with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Venezuela that has issued a communique

00:04sanctioning a strong right-wing member, María Corina Machado, for her involvement in the

00:07approval of the wrongly named Bolívar Act, a bill approved by the U.S. House of Representatives

00:13which violates the Venezuelan Constitution.

00:16The statement informs that a country that in the framework of the recent criminal actions

00:22deployed by the U.S. House of Representatives on the occasion of the approval of a bill

00:26which seeks to increase the catalog of illegal sanctions against the Venezuelan people and

00:32also intends to stain the name of our liberator, Simón Bolívar, seriously violating the Constitution.

00:37The law and the sovereignty, therefore, in view of these facts over sectors of the strong

00:42right-wing led by María Corina Machado and others, have expressed their support for the

00:48same it has decided to initiate an investigation against the aforementioned defendant to be

00:55charged for her promotion and support of said legal absurdity that constitutes criminal

01:02acts against the Venezuelan people.

01:04The communique stressed that the public pronouncements that the vote mentioned has made regarding

01:10this unlawful bill seriously invalidate and constitute decommissioning of the crimes of

01:17traditional establishments in Article 128 of the Penal Code, conspiracy with foreign

01:23countries establishments in Article 132 of the Penal Code and association to commit crimes

01:29established in Article 37 of the Law against Organized Crime.

01:32The official communique closes by assuring that the Public Prosecutor's Office, as the

01:37director of the criminal investigation, as an organ of the citizens' power, the guarantor

01:42of the faithful tradition of freedom, peace, independence and sovereignty that characterize

01:46our Republic, stands firm both in its duty to guarantee the justice of the country's

01:52people and the rule of law.
