00:20Today is the first rollout of the Agri-Puhunan and Pantawid Program

00:25in the Executive Department of Agriculture.

00:27President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will be the first to announce the launch of the program in September

00:33here in Gimba, Nueva Ecija.

00:40Game changer if the Department of Agriculture Secretary Francisco T. Laurel Jr.

00:45will be the one to launch the Agri-Puhunan and Pantawid Program or APP.

00:48Its target is to increase productivity and income of the farmers

00:52by giving low-cost credit, financial assistance

00:56and to prepare the market for the upcoming season.

00:59According to DA Secretary T. Laurel,

01:02the APP is in line with the goals of the Marcos Administration

01:06to make agriculture more bankable,

01:09to increase more and more income.

01:12The program is also intended to improve the living conditions of the farmers

01:16and to ensure food security.

01:18According to President Marcos,

01:20the farmers will be able to receive the Interventions Monitoring Card or IMC

01:24that can be used to buy rice and other agricultural products from accredited merchants.

01:30Through this,

01:32fraudulent prices and lack of funds for products will be avoided.

01:36Beneficiary farmers will also be given P32,000 Pantawid

01:41to meet the needs of the farmers' families

01:44while waiting for the harvest season.

01:47When it comes to rice,

01:48the National Food Authority will buy 5 tons or 100 sacks of rice

01:54at a price that is not less than P21 per kilo.

01:59More than P100,000 will be earned per hectare of rice

02:05that will be imported to the IMC.

02:07The APP's target is to help the 1.2 million farmers across the country.

02:15This program will give credit to all your needs

02:20from soil preparation,

02:22rice,

02:23direct seeders,

02:24fertilizer,

02:25and pesticides

02:27to the hauling of your products

02:29to the dryers and rice mills.

02:32This program will serve as the foundation for your dreams.

02:51Later, the APPCDA Undersecretary Assis Perez

02:55and other officials from the NFA, NIA, PhilRice, and DBP

03:00are expected to attend the rollout.

03:03The program is currently being set up

03:05and is expected to start later at 8.30 in the morning.
