Massive inferno destroys around 1,000 homes in Manila’s biggest slum area

A massive fire has destroyed around 1,000 homes in Isla Puting Bato, Manila’s largest slum area. Drone footage captured the intensity of the blaze as it quickly spread through the densely populated village, leaving many homes reduced to ashes.

The fire, which started early Sunday morning, has displaced around 8,000 people, affecting an estimated 2,000 residents.
