00:00The statements we have heard in the past few days are indisputable.

00:06There is no need to underestimate and threaten the plan to kill some of us.

00:14If the plan to kill a president is that simple, then what about the common people?

00:22We should not allow such a criminal to cross the line.

00:28That is my promise.

00:31As a democratic country, we need to uphold the rule of law.

00:35I, as the head of the Executive Department, and all the government officials,

00:43have a duty to uphold the Constitution and our laws.

00:49That is why it is wrong to stop the people from seeking the truth.

00:57I do not hope that this drama will end if the legitimate questions

01:04to the Senate and the House of Representatives will be answered.

01:07The truth should not be ignored.

01:10I hope that this discussion will end if the oath of allegiance

01:15that as a citizen of the country I will speak the truth and will not be hindered.

01:22Instead of a straightforward answer, we are left with a lie.

01:27I hope that these events will end so that the truth will be brought to us.

01:35I have also served 12 years in both chambers of Congress.

01:39I am proud of the power given to them by the people and our Constitution.

01:46Because of this, I respect their work as an independent branch of our Republic.

01:54Even the entire Executive Branch, all the agencies,

01:58are not safe and are always under their scrutiny.

02:03As a country, we have many challenges to face

02:09and many problems to be solved.

02:12In spite of the arguments that I have heard from the government.

02:17But we will not compromise the rule of law.

02:22The law must obey in any situation, no matter who is hit.

02:27That is why I will not allow the desire of others to succeed

02:31to throw the whole country into the abyss of politics.

02:35Let us stop the process. Let us uphold the law.

02:40Let us remember the mandate entrusted to us by millions of Filipinos.

02:46Let us work for the creation of the Republic of the Philippines

02:51and for the creation of a new Philippines.
