00:00TJ, was that Alliance home game you were at yesterday?
00:03Pretty close?
00:04Home game?
00:05I mean, at 50-50, yeah, so I guess any time you go on the road and have 50-50, it probably
00:11feels like a home game.
00:12Because it looked and it sounded.
00:13No, it did.
00:14And I know we talked about it, but I finally asked Coach yesterday, I'm like, you can't,
00:19he's got this way of galvanizing the group when we go on the road, it's just us, backs
00:23against the wall, you know, us versus everybody, and I'm like, Coach, you can't really use
00:26that anymore, can you?
00:27He started giggling.
00:29It's incredible.
00:30You go out there and we're hearing the Jared Goff chants, and it's like, my goodness, you
00:35know what I mean?
00:36So the fans are, and I love what Jared Goff said, the fans don't go to the game just to
00:41spectate, they go to affect the game.
00:44You know what I mean?
00:45They want to be a participant.
00:46Yeah, they go to be a part of that game.
00:48And it's been incredible, really, what, the last two years, two and a half years now of
00:54watching these fans travel.
00:55You could tell Saturday night, just walking around town, grabbing some dinner, I mean,
01:01it felt like you were in downtown Detroit, that's what it felt like.
01:04And I know it makes a difference, you know, I don't know if the fans, they really understand
01:08sometimes the impact that they can have, but John, you and I both know, you go into enemy
01:13territory and you've got a lot of your friends on your side, man, it really does make a big
01:18difference.
01:19You only have this little postage stamp up in the rafters of your home fans, but now
01:27when the Lions take the field, what is it, Texas A&M, the home of the 12th man, Seattle,
01:33we hear about it, but they don't travel and they're not as involved on the road as the
01:40Lions fans.
01:41The Lions have the 12th man every single week, home or away.
01:44Yeah.
01:45And there's been some games, I think I told you guys maybe a couple weeks ago.
01:49Houston.
01:50Houston and Minnesota late in that game when the Lions need to make a play, I was down
01:53in the, you know, walking, get ready for postgame and you hear this loud roar and you're like,
01:57oh my gosh, did we throw a pick?
01:58Oh, what happened?
01:59And then all of a sudden you realize the line, I'm in Rocco, you know, converted a third
02:03down or something.
02:04You're like, oh my God.
02:05It's all Lions fans cheering.
02:06It's all Lions fans cheering in away stadiums.
02:07It is, and coach said, it's demoralizing.
02:09It really is.
02:10When you're a home team and watching the Rams game last night, I mean, their offense having
02:15to go on silent count.
02:17You know how embarrassing that is for a home team to do?
02:20You know what I mean?
02:21The Rams, I know, I don't know if you guys watch the whole game, the Rams, the line was
02:23getting torched by Philly's D line.
02:25And a big part of that was because they're going silent count.
02:28Your tackles have to look into the ball and by the time you're coming up, oh, Brandon
02:31Graham's already in my face.
02:32At home.
02:33At home.
02:34That's demoralizing.
02:35And that's what, everybody's kind of done that in LA, but I think the Lions have done that
02:39everywhere.
02:40Pretty much everywhere that the Lions have played.
02:42And it's, it's incredibly impressive.
02:43Think about it.
02:45Teams five and six.
02:46Someone's willing to pay you five times what your ticket sells for.
02:49You're gonna sell your ticket.
02:50It's Lions fans that are maniacal.
02:52They're crazy.
02:53They love going to these games and they're making a difference.
02:55Yeah.
02:56Well, they don't want to figure out what Lions fans do for a living, man.
02:59I know.
03:00Yeah.
03:01I want to find that out.
03:02Yeah.
03:03Because no matter where they go, and, and, and here's the other thing, the Lions fans
03:08have always traveled, but last year and this year they're obviously traveling for a special
03:12reason.
03:13And it's, they don't want to miss a moment of what is, is a historic season.
03:19You mentioned it.
03:21The start of this season hasn't happened since 1934.
03:24Now I'm sure there's somebody out there who's a Lions fan that was born in 34, maybe a year
03:30or two earlier.
03:31They probably don't remember that at all.
03:34But this is a brand new experience for Lions fans, for generations of Lions fans.
03:40I mean, hey, we'll throw the call out.
03:42If you're 97 years old and you remember the 30, 14, let us know.
03:46What's the similarity?
03:47Stoney, what are you doing?
03:48Two, four, eight.
03:50We got a lot to talk about.
03:51The crowd's only part of it.
03:52TJ takeaways from the game.
03:54Defense.
03:56I mean, you know, it didn't coming out of that game, it didn't feel like a dominant,
04:02like start to finish.
04:03We just crushed their soul in.
04:05Well, coming off of Jacksonville, it's hard to replicate that.
04:09It's really hard to do in the NFL, but it was just one of those ho-hum, punch the clock,
04:13go to work.
04:14OK, do what we got to do.
04:16Let's get out of here and get ready for Thursday.
04:17That's kind of what it felt like.
04:18Double-digit victory.
04:19I know.
04:20And it's crazy.
04:21And it didn't feel as you know, it didn't feel like you smoked the Colts, I guess, as
04:24to say.
04:25I mean, the Colts made a lot of mistakes.
04:26They dropped the touchdown pass.
04:28They didn't help Anthony Richardson out a few times.
04:30They had some really key penalties on some big explosive plays that help you out, no
04:35doubt.
04:37It just felt kind of like a punch the clock, do what we got to do to get out of here.
04:41You know what I mean?
04:42Win by 18 points on the road.
04:44And it was not their best.
04:45Offensively, I mean, did it probably feel like a B minus type of game for them?
04:50Did it feel like they were just trying to get out of there at some point?
04:52No, I don't.
04:53Because the injuries are mounting and you just.
04:54Maybe late in the second half.
04:56And clearly, I think the coaches had that too when Carlton Davis didn't return, David
05:01Montgomery didn't return.
05:02When I asked about, I think coach talked about it, he said, you know, hey, we're not really
05:06concerned long term with those guys.
05:07Maybe Khalif Raymond, they'll have to probably get some scans done today.
05:10He said that doesn't mean that those guys are going to play Thursday.
05:14But you know, we yeah, I think you can kind of get the sense that coach said, hey, we
05:19got some bigger games coming up.
05:21This one's pretty much we feel confident.
05:23Why don't we get why don't we sit you guys out?
05:24Decker came out late in that game.
05:25He got rolled up on.
05:26So it'll be interesting to see what happens this week with the injury report.
05:30But yeah, it did.
