00:00And at this point, let's discuss the update on the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the go.
00:25First, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. helped United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nayang.
00:36In their assistance in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders emphasized the cooperation of the Philippines and the UAE in various sectors,
00:45including economic talks, trade talks, and in the area of sustainability.
00:52The dedication of the Philippines and the UAE was also emphasized in the previous meeting,
00:56which further emphasized the partnership of the two countries that will bring long-term benefits to the citizens of the UAE and the Philippines.
01:05The bilateral meeting of the two leaders became more exciting because this year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the friendship and collaboration of the UAE and the Philippines.
01:18On August 19, 1974, diplomatic relations between the UAE and the Philippines began.
01:26On the official visit of the President, President Marcos Jr. personally thanked UAE President Al Mayan for the various assistance provided by the UAE in the Philippines,
01:37including the arrest and turnover of a sex trafficker in the Philippine authorities, as well as the training and support to the Philippine National Police.
01:46The President also thanked the 143 Filipinos for their forgiveness during the disaster this year and for the humanitarian aid to the victims of the calamity in the Philippines.
01:56The former DLG Secretary Benor Abalos, who according to Malacanang has a close tie to the UAE Royal Family, is also part of the delegation of the Philippines.
02:07Some Cabinet Secretaries, including DNR Secretary Tony Loizaga, NCCA Chair Vic Manalo, and DFA Usec Charles Jose are also part of the delegation.
