00:00The prices of vegetables in La Trinidad, Benguet, are still stable.

00:04The Department of Agriculture continues to monitor Baguio City in case there is frosting in the crops.

00:18Benguet is one of the crops that is usually sold during Christmas season.

00:22La Trinidad is one of them because its vegetables are cheap and fresh.

00:27One of the concerns whenever the weather is cold is the freezing of the crops,

00:32where the supply of vegetables goes down while its price goes up.

00:36The vendors make sure that the prices of vegetables here in La Trinidad are still stable.

00:42For the price of vegetables, you can buy potatoes for Php 12 per piece,

00:47carrots for Php 15 per piece,

00:50baguio beans for Php 150 per kilo,

00:53quinoa for Php 25 per bundle,

00:55eggplant for Php 16 per piece,

00:58bitter gourd for Php 14 per piece,

01:01okra for Php 150 per kilo,

01:04pepper for Php 120 per kilo,

01:06radish for Php 80 per kilo,

01:08lettuce for Php 180 per kilo,

01:11green chili and red chili for Php 450 per kilo,

01:15garlic for Php 150 per kilo,

01:18red onion for Php 150 per kilo,

01:21and white onion for Php 150 per kilo.

01:25The city will continue to monitor the Department of Agriculture

01:29and the city agriculture in case there is a frost in the crops.

01:37Our average temperature right now is 17 to 25.

01:41So we're okay.

01:43Maybe we'll have a problem with the frost.

01:46That would happen if we hit 9 degrees, 8 degrees and below.

01:51Maybe around January or February.

01:54We need to spray water quickly

01:57so that our crops won't get burned.

02:04The temperature is 19 degrees Celsius here in Latinilag.

02:08This is not the lowest temperature in Benguet,

02:10so the crops will grow better.
