00:00I'm TJ Amaro. I'm 17 years old and a representative of Naga City.
00:07At an early age, your achievements also speaks for your hard work.
00:11Anong thoughts mo sa naging takbo ng career mo dito sa batang pinoy mo?
00:18Since last year kumapos representing Naga City, I'm very happy with the results.
00:26Although nag-silver ako, yung plan ko is give all golds for Naga City.
00:35I did my best naman. I'm very happy with the results.
00:42Hopefully, may represent ko pa ulit yung Naga City in other competitions.
00:50I read an article about you. It says that you're not just aiming for the gold, but you're aiming to break your own records.
00:56You recently wrote that you broke two of your previous records and now today you broke third?
01:03Yeah, my third.
01:05How are you feeling about it? Saan nyo ka nagkakaroon ng keen focus on achieving your goals?
01:12I'm happy na nakuha ko po yung record.
01:17Kasi last year I wasn't able to swim this event, so I'm happy.
01:24Although nagpulang po ako sa swim ko, sa sarili ko na kaya ko pa na maganda sana yung result na nabigay ko.
01:36I'm happy naman and yun yung record.
01:40I know it's too early to tell, but for next year or for the upcoming years of your swimming career, ano yung parang goal na nangyibabaw sa isip mo?
01:50Syempre yung sabi nila, dream big.
01:54Hopefully, yung 2028 na Olympics, that's parang main goal, dream big.
02:04In terms of next year goals, ngayon ang iniisip ko lang naman for next year na competition is yung magiging tryouts for the CBMs next year.
02:14Ngayon yun pa lang naman po yung parang naisip kong competition.
02:20Pero since may last meet pa ko next week, may last meet pa ko which is the NCAA,
02:25so yeah, focus muna ako dun.
02:27After that, after NC, I'll take a rest muna and then I'll get back to work for my future competition.
02:36You still have NCAA, this is my last question.
02:40Does this give you confidence or there's no room for complacency especially you're competing sa NC?
02:47You're with Sunbedder, right?
02:48Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:51Confidence.
02:52This gives me confidence especially sa school.
02:56But at the same time, I don't want to be complacent.
02:59Syempre kasi, we're talking about NCAA, lalo na sa yung mga kalaban namin which is heavy, different schools na may mga heavy hitters sila.
03:11Although maganda yung streams ko, hopefully mapakita ko ulit siya next next week sa NC and then sana mas maganda yung performance ko.
