00:00The PTV news now. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. confirmed that he was the one who spread the text message

00:15that the impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte should not continue. Here is the statement of the President.

00:22Sir, there was a text message circulating on social media yesterday saying that Vice President Sara Duterte is a larger scheme of things, is unimportant, so don't file an impeachment complaint.

00:33It was said that it came from you. Can you confirm that, sir? Was there an effort from your party not to file an impeachment?

00:39Well, it was actually private communication but it was leaked, yes. Because that's really my opinion.

00:45This is not important. This does not make any difference to even one single Filipino life. So why waste time on this?

00:55What will happen if somebody files an impeachment? It will tie down the House, it will tie down the Senate, it will just take up all the time, and for what? For nothing.

01:09None of this will help improve a single Filipino life. As far as I'm concerned, it's a storm in a teacup.

01:17Sir, have you reached the point of no return, the impeachment of Sara, sir?

01:22Never say never.

01:24Meanwhile, the National Bureau of Investigation has confirmed that Vice President Sara Duterte will not be able to attend the agency's meeting this afternoon.

01:33She will not be able to attend the subpoena meeting this Friday.

01:36President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez have not responded.

01:43According to NBI Director Jaime Santiago, it's too late for Vice President Marcos to know that she will not be able to attend the House Committee.

01:49That's why she hasn't been able to attend the NBI's meeting.

01:52Duterte has not responded to any requests.

01:55But he did respond to a request that the NBI will face its second president on December 11.
