00:00The Department of Justice countered the complaint of Vice President Sara Duterte against her.
00:10Luisa Erispe is the center of the news.
00:13Now, the Department of Justice has violated the complaint of Vice President Sara Duterte against her.
00:26The DOJ said that this is not an invention and the law is the reason behind this.
00:31This is after Vice President Sara Duterte said that she is willing to file a case against anti-terror because the government wants her property and assets to be free,
00:43the DOJ said. According to Juseg Jesse Andres, it is clearly stated in the law that the witnesses of Vice President Duterte violated the law.
00:56Here is the statement of Juseg Andres.
01:00We are not filing a case against Vice President Duterte.
01:06But the law of anti-terror law is based on the proposal to commit terrorism, a conspiracy to commit terrorism.
01:20The very claim to commit terrorism is already a criminal act.
01:26Nayomi, the DOJ again stated that the basis of the anti-terror law is Section 4 of the law, where it is considered an act of terrorism to capture or kill a person.
01:42But the DOJ explained that this does not mean that they will consider Vice President Sara Duterte a terrorist. This is a different process in the law.
01:52We are not branding Vice President as a terrorist, but it is possible for her to be liable under the anti-terror law simply by conspiring.
02:04Conspiracy consists of two people coming to an agreement to execute any of these acts, including causing death and bodily harm.
02:14The DOJ also believes that they are doing this because they want to prove that justice is being served in the country and that anyone who violates the law will be punished.
02:24Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte said that she will revoke her reschedule in response to the NBI's decision.
02:32The DOJ said that they will revoke Vice President Duterte's request.
02:38If Vice President Duterte will revoke the request and will say that because there was an early engagement and Congress invited her and she will attend the Congressional hearing,
02:59we will probably give her a reschedule, but it will be as soon as possible, possibly Monday or Tuesday next week.
03:09Naomi, since the Department of Justice is also investigating the possibility of filing a complaint against former President Rodrigo Duterte,
03:20according to Joseph Jesse Andres of the DOJ, it is also possible for the former president to be convicted by the NBI.
03:27This is the latest, let's go back to you Naomi.
03:30Thank you very much Luisa Erispe.
