00:00Alhamdulillahi wadah wassalatu wassalamu ala malla nabiya baada, amma baad fauzubillahi
00:29minash shaitaanir rajeem, bismillahir rahmanir raheem, assalamu alaikum nazareen, ARYQ
00:36TV Lahore Studios se program Ittihad-e-Ummat lekar Dr. Muhammad Tahir Mustafa ki khidmat
00:42me hazir.
00:43Nazikram agar ek baag me, ek chaman me, ek gulshan me chand phool khile hue hoon aur
00:54hum kya kehte hain ki baag ujra hua hai, weeraan hai.
01:03Likin agar iske baaraks, baag me saare phool khile hue hoon aur chand murjhaaye hue hoon,
01:12phir hum kya kehte hain ki baag sarsabzo shadaab hai.
01:18Nazikram ye hum isliye kehte hain ki asal ahmiyat ishtamaiyat ki hua karte hai.
01:25Baag me agar phoolon ka ishtama zyada phool yani ki khile hue hoon to hum baag ko sarsabzo
01:33shadaab hi kehte hain.
01:36Isi tarah se nazikram, ummat humara mauzoo chuke Ittihad-e-Ummat hai to ummat insaniyat
01:45ki us gulshan ko kehte hain jismein har insaan ek phool ki tarah sarsabzo shadaab hoon.
02:27se sarsabzo shadaab hoon.
02:29Nazikram, chuke humara mauzoo Ittihad-e-Ummat hai, to hum Ittihad-e-Ummat ka dars to de
02:36rahi hain, har masjid se, har mehraab se, har minare se, Ittihad-e-Ummat ka dars to
02:43diya jaa raha hai, aur phir humare is program se bhi ussi Ittihad-e-Ummat ke dars ki aaj
02:51tajdeed ho rahi hai, lekin hume ye bhi to samajhna chahiye sabse pehle ki Ittihad ka
02:57naam to ye hai ki tamam yakjaa hoon.
03:02To Shiraza-e-Ummat hai, wo bikhra hua na ho, balke yakjaa ho, ek haar ki tarah, paroya
03:10hua ho, motiyon ki tarah, lekin sawal ye hai ki Ummat kise kahte hain, ye bhi to hume sabayna
03:17zaroori hai.
03:18Tumnazikram, aaj humara guftagoo ka mauzoo ye hoga, categorically, ki Ummat kya hoti
03:24hai, aur phir Ummat ke ajza-e-tarqeebi kya hoti hain, ispe hum guftagoo karne wale hain
03:29program mein, aur guftagoo firmane ke liye, aaj jo humari mehman shakhsiyat hain, meri

04:48Jaise maine arz kiya apne ittadaaiye mein, ki Ittahad-e-Ummat ki hum baat kar rahe hain,
04:54toh samajhna chahiye, ki Ummat kya hoti hain.
04:57Inshallah.
05:09Amma baad.
05:10Muhtaram Doctor sahab, main aapka zaati taur pe shukr guzaar hun,
05:16aur ARYQ TV ka bhi,
05:21ki unhone mujhe yeh maukah farham kiya,
05:25ki main ek aise topic pe guftagu karun,
05:28ki jo is Muslimaan Ummat ka bohut hi current affair mein se burning topic hain.
05:37Ji bilkul.
05:38Is wakti yeh Ummat, jinn halaat se guzar rahi hain,
05:41agar kisi bhi Arabi loghat mein jaa ke dekha jaaye,
05:46toh shayad is par wo itlaak na ho.
05:49Jinn halaat se is wakt, Islamiaan guzar rahi hain.
05:52Toh aapne yeh firmaaya ki jo Ummat hai, wo kise kahte hain,
05:57toh main chunke buniyadi taur pe,
06:00Arabi loghat ka, Arabi zubaan ka ustaad hun,
06:05aur mera jo thesis hai, wo bhi Arabi mein hai,
06:09aur Mufradaat-e-Quran.
06:11Jinn mein se Ummat bhi ek lafz,
06:13ek Mufrad hain.
06:14Ji bilkul aaya ho.
06:15Toh hum jab Quran ka mutaaliya karte hain,
06:17toh sachhi baat yeh hai, kuch alfaz aise hain,
06:19ke agar hum unke maani na samjhen,
06:22toh phir hum Quran nahi samajh sakte hain.
06:24Unmein se Ummat bhi ek lafz hai,
06:27jis tarah Ilah ek lafz hai,
06:29jis tarah Rabb ek lafz hai,
06:31jis tarah Ibadat ek lafz hai,
06:33jis tarah Deen, toh Ummat bhi ek lafz hai.
06:36Saheeb.
06:37Aur yeh lafz jo hai, yeh Quran mein,
06:40chon sat martaba aaya hai.
06:42Acha?
06:43Ji, chon sat martaba yeh lafz.
06:46Lekin, dekhiye Quran ka apna ek andaaz hai,
06:49asal toh yeh lafz Arabi zubaan ka hai,
06:52toh Quran jo hai,
06:53woh baaz maani ko unka ihata karta hai
06:56aur baaz ko aile zubaan ke liye chod deta hai.
06:59Misaal ke taur par,
07:00yeh lafz jo hai,
07:01yeh Quran mein,
07:02sat maani mein aaya hai.
07:04Yehi lafz yeh Ummat,
07:05sat maani mein aaya hai.
07:07Jis tarah ke,
07:08hum Surah Fatihah mein padhte hain,
07:10Ihdi nassiraatal mustaqeem.
07:12Ihdi jo hai,
07:14mera chunke PhD thesis bhi yehi hai,
07:16toh Ihdi ke hum aam tarjuma karte hain,
07:18humein hidayat de,
07:20humari rehnaumai kar,
07:21lekin iska doosra maana yeh hai,
07:23ke humein sabit kadam rak.
07:25Hidayat toh tune de di,
07:27rehnaumai bhi kar di,
07:28rasta siraatal mustaqeem bhi dikha diya,
07:30ab iske upar sabit kadam rak.
07:32Aur iske Quran mein,
07:33tera maani istamal hua hain.
07:35Yeh do,
07:36mene namunay ke taur par,
07:37aapke saamne bayan kiye hain.
07:39Isi tarah Quran apne mein,
07:42kitne maani mein isko istamal karta hai,
07:44uske upar humari nadar rehni chahiye.
07:46Fir hum tarjuma bhi sahi kar sakenge,
07:48aur uska mafoom bhi sahi samajh sakenge.
07:50Aapki jaazas ho toh,
07:51main Mufti sahab ko sharik karun.
07:52Ji.
07:53Fir aapki toh,

12:25that the rest of our Islamic rulers are looking at us.
12:30Right. Thank you very much, Doctor Sahib.
12:33Mufti Fidaur Rehman Haidri Sahib, I am present to you.
12:37I am a Waqfah too, but before being a Waqfah, I would like to ask you a question
12:40for my guidance, both personally and for my viewers.
12:46Since we are talking about the word Ummah,
12:50Mufti Sahib, one word is Qaum, one is Ummah, one is Millat.
12:57Is there a difference between the three, or are they the same thing?
13:02Can we talk about them? How can we show the difference?
13:07Or how can we bring together the similarities?
13:10I would like you to discuss this.
13:11But with your permission, I will take a Waqfah.
13:14And after that, Inshallah, we will continue to pay attention to your discussion.
13:19Ladies and gentlemen, this is the programme of Itahad-e-Ummat,
13:21ARYQ TV, Lahore Studios.
13:24After the Waqfah, Mufti Fidaur Rehman Haidri has started his discussion.
13:30After the Waqfah, we will go to the Darbar-e-Risalat,
13:33and present to you the Durood-e-Kareem,
13:38with full love and respect,
13:42at the holy shrine of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
13:45After the Waqfah, we are again present at your service,
13:47ARYQ TV, Lahore Studios,
13:49and our programme is Itahad-e-Ummat.
13:53And on this topic, we are discussing today,
13:56that the meaning of Itahad is to become one.
14:00But what is Ummat?
14:02Today, we are discussing this in terms of language and terminology.
14:08And I had asked our guest today, Mufti Fidaur Rehman Haidri,
14:15to clarify the difference between what is called a Nation,
14:19and what is called a Nation.
14:21Yes, Mufti Sahib.
14:23In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful.
14:27I am extremely grateful.
14:30A beautiful title, which is not only close to the heart,
14:33but is embedded in the heart.
14:36And for this, I welcome you with all my heart.
14:42May Allah bless this beautiful title with the highest honor.
14:48And I present the gift of Tabrik to the ARYQ channel.
14:53And may Allah grant you steadfastness in this.
14:57And may Allah grant us to see its effects soon.
15:05Your question was about the difference between a Nation and a Nation.
15:09Before me, you had a very beautiful discussion.
15:16I am also taking guidance from you.
15:19In the Quran, it is stated,
15:22We have also made you a nation, so that you may be witnesses over the people.
15:29Indeed, you are a nation called to goodness.
15:33It is mentioned in different places.
15:37A Nation, and with it, the second word, Qaum.
15:41The background of the word Qaum is that some people,
15:47who are living together in a region,
15:52are called a Nation.
15:55When they come together on a linguistic basis,
15:57they are called a Nation.
15:59On the contrary, the meaning of a Nation is broader.
16:04Allah has said for the believers,
16:07We have also made you a nation, so that you may be witnesses over the people.
16:12Before me, Dr. Sahib was explaining the division of a Nation.
16:16Ummat-e-Ijabat and Ummat-e-Dawat.
16:18The Ummah of Prophet Muhammad is the Ummah of Dawat.
16:23Among them, the believers are Ummat-e-Ijabat.
16:28So, Muslims are not a nation in terms of color and generation.
16:34Here, I would also like to say that,
16:36if someone thinks that our religion is Islam and we are a nation,
16:42I do not think this is a correct concept.
16:46The scholars have said that Muslims are a community of the Lord on this earth.
16:54And it has a special purpose,
16:57to carry out the message and commandment of the Lord of the worlds.
17:02To walk under that divine message,
17:06and to move the divine message forward.
17:09And let there be among you a nation that invites to goodness,
17:12that enjoins on what is right, and forbids what is wrong.
17:16You were a good nation,
17:17but you were driven out for the people,
17:19that enjoins on what is right, and forbids what is wrong.
17:22This Ummah has a special duty.
17:24And in the light of these verses,
17:27it was understood that the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad
17:33has a special duty,
17:36to enjoin on what is right, and forbid what is wrong.
17:39Because of this, it has a special slogan.
17:45And on this basis, it is separate from the other nations of the world.
17:54And its separate status is not on the basis of borders,
18:00nor on the basis of language,
18:02nor on any other division.
18:04Its special slogan is,
18:05It is the guidance of all humanity.
18:11For all humanity,
18:13it has a special purpose.
18:16And because of this special purpose,
18:18it is considered separate and unique from all.
18:22Absolutely right.
18:23Doctor, in a very beautiful way,
18:26and in a beautiful tone,
18:28the responsibilities of the Ummah,
18:31which the words of Allah have mentioned,
18:33shed light on them as well.
18:36Please add a little,
18:39that in the Quran,
18:41the concept of Ummah is also given.
18:45In fact, I would like to know,
18:47in the light of the Quran,
18:49the nation, Ummah, and nation,
18:53as I had mentioned,
18:55on what basis is it specified?
18:58And what are the responsibilities of all three?
19:02Doctor, there are three words,
19:05and I have already spoken about it,
19:09in Arabic,
19:11the word Ummah has been used in the Quran in seven meanings.
19:17And it is in different places.
19:20So, you will have to understand them in the same context.
19:24Where that verse has come,
19:26where that word has come,
19:27its context is one.
19:29You will have to understand it in that context.
19:31Otherwise, if you only look at the Arabic language,
19:34then that meaning will not fit there.
19:36That is why,
19:38it is necessary that the concept of Ummah,
19:41as it has been stated,
19:46what is its function?
19:47That it establishes the system of Allah on this earth.
19:52Because in this entire universe,
19:55when the system of that Lord is running,
19:58even the sun is obeying Him.
20:02So, in this factory, in this universe,
20:06everything is run by His command.
20:09So, His command should run on these humans as well.
20:12Why does this become rebellious?
20:15The human body itself is obeying Him.
20:19He has made a nose.
20:22So, it is his job to smell.
20:24He can never do the job of seeing.
20:27So, he is obeying, isn't he?
20:28The eyes have no sense of hearing.
20:30And the ears have no sense of seeing.
20:32So, where has it come from?
20:34The authority that has been given to it,
20:36that is where it becomes rebellious.
20:38And when it becomes rebellious, then it becomes treacherous.
20:40Everyone is obeying Him.
20:42So, it wants to go against that entire system.
20:44This will not be possible.
20:46So, this Ummah is such that,
20:48let me give you an example.
20:50One person is in Japan.
20:52You have not seen him.
20:54You have not heard him speak.
20:57But you have come to know that his name is this
20:59and he is a Muslim.
21:01What do you think of him?
21:03He is an individual of this Ummah.
21:05If he is in pain, you will also be in pain.
21:07If he is happy, you will also be happy.
21:09One person is in America.
21:11That is, he is in any place.
21:13So, he is a part of the entire universe.
21:15He is a part of this Ummah.
21:17And the nation,
21:19this nation is
21:21according to different regions,
21:23different languages.
21:25It can be according to different languages.
21:27Even the Quran itself,
21:29for example, it said,
21:31Kaum-e-Shohib, Kaum-e-Nuh
21:33because he was a follower of one prophet.
21:35And he was in one jurisdiction.
21:37Yes, he was in one region.
21:39So, he was called Kaum.
21:41And this word, Kaum,
21:43has been mentioned 383 times in the Quran.
21:4564 times in the Ummah?
21:47Yes, 64 times in the Ummah.
21:49It has been mentioned 383 times,
21:51but it will be in a limited sense.
21:54Yes, you can think of the nation
21:56as that method, that method,
21:58that Shariah, that is what it means.
22:00But these words,
22:02sometimes they give that meaning,
22:04sometimes they give that meaning.
22:06So, we will take it from this perspective
22:08that the nation, for example,
22:10Ala Millat-e-Ibraheem,
22:12now it is clear that we do not follow
22:14their Shariah.
22:16So, there the meaning of the nation is
22:18the method on which they brought
22:20the message of Oneness of God
22:23Wa Tabi' Millat-e-Ibraheem
22:25You can also adopt the method
22:27of Hazrat Ibrahim.
22:29So, there is a slight difference.
22:31But the meaning is very broad
22:33which is in the Arabic language
22:35and also in the Quran.
22:37So, we will take all three of them
22:39from this perspective.
22:41Although Allama has talked about it,
22:43Kaum is a religion,
22:45which is nothing without religion.
22:47Although he has talked about the nation,
22:49he has talked about the Ummah.
22:51The Ummah was the third superpower
22:53which Prophet Muhammad
22:55prepared.
22:57He fulfilled the needs
22:59of the Ummah.
23:01Salman Farsi was a member of the Ummah
23:03and he was from some other place.
23:05There is no regional jurisdiction
23:07in the Ummah.
23:09There is no jurisdiction at all.
23:11There is a common faith,
23:13a common perspective,
23:15a common practice.
23:17Sometimes the word Kaum
23:20For example, Prophet Muhammad
23:22said,
23:24On the Day of Judgment,
23:26in Surah Furqan,
23:28Allah's Prophet will
23:30say,
23:32My Ummah,
23:34My Nation
23:36The word Kaum means the Ummah.
23:38You can also say that
23:40the Ummah does not include the Nation.
23:42The Nation can include the Nation.
23:44Absolutely right.
23:46Doctor,
23:48I would like to ask you,
23:50Doctor Mufti Kareem Khan Sahib,
23:52Doctor Nikiana Sahib,
23:54while talking about the Nation,
23:56he explained the method,
23:58the method of action,
24:00its meaning and meaning.
24:02In the Holy Quran,
24:04it is specifically stated
24:06about our Prophet,
24:08that he was based
24:10on the Nation of Abraham.
24:12Is there any specific explanation
24:14of the Nation of Abraham
24:17or any specific characteristics
24:19of that Nation
24:21or that method
24:23of the rest of the Prophets
24:25and Prophet Abraham?
24:27Was there any difference
24:29in their method?
24:31Or was there any similarity?
24:33Or what was it
24:35due to which the relationship
24:37of Prophet Muhammad
24:39is associated with the Nation of Abraham
24:41in the Holy Quran?
24:43Doctor, there are two reasons for that.
24:45After Prophet Abraham,
24:47all the Nations
24:49and Prophets
24:51came from the progeny
24:53of Prophet Abraham.
24:55Then two branches
24:57came from Prophet Abraham.
24:59One was the progeny
25:01of Prophet Isaac.
25:03All the Prophets,
25:05even the kings
25:07came from the Progeny
25:09of Prophet Abraham.
25:11The second branch
25:14came from Prophet Ishmael.
25:16So, all the Prophets
25:18came from the progeny
25:20of Prophet Ishmael.
25:22So, in this regard,
25:24the fundamental principles
25:26of all the Shariah
25:28do not differ.
25:30Tauheed is the same,
25:32the Prophethood is the same,
25:34the Hereafter is the same,
25:36the concept of heaven and hell is the same,
25:38the Hashr is the same,
25:40the book of calculations is the same.
25:43So, in this regard,
25:45the fundamental principles
25:47do not differ.
25:49The fundamental concepts
25:51are the same.
25:53The beliefs
25:55in the religion of Prophet Abraham
25:57are the same in our Shariah.
25:59Similarly, the Shirk
26:01is the same in our Shariah.
26:03The Arab Nation
26:05claimed that
26:07they are the progeny
26:09of Prophet Abraham.
26:11So, the Prophet
26:13was addressed
26:15in this regard that
26:17they are not the progeny
26:19of Prophet Abraham.
26:21The real progeny
26:23of Prophet Abraham
26:25is Prophet Ishmael.
26:27So, those things
26:29that were involved
26:31in Shirk
26:33and had deviated from
26:35the right path,
26:37the Prophet
26:40and all of us
26:42are on the path
26:44of Prophet Abraham.
26:46All the issues
26:48of the Shariah
26:50are on the path
26:52of Prophet Abraham.
26:54The Holy Qur'an,
26:56Furqan-e-Hameed,
26:58and especially in our Shariah,
27:00the word Millat, Qaum, Ummah
27:02are used in the meaning of Ummah.
27:04Allama Iqbar Ahmadullah
27:06has said that
27:08they are the progeny of Prophet Hashemi.
27:10The Muslims are the same nation,
27:12the same Ummah.
27:14Absolutely right.
27:16Mufti Fidaur Rahman,
27:18if you don't mind,
27:20I would like to take a break.
27:22Ladies and gentlemen,
27:24this is a very beautiful
27:26and a very intellectual discussion.
27:28This is not something
27:30that you find in books.
27:32We should choose
27:34this pearl,
27:37Ladies and gentlemen,
27:39this is Waqfah,
27:41this is Ittihad-e-Ummat,
27:43this is ARYQ TV,
27:45Lahore Studios,
27:47and once again,
27:49we are at Waqfah
27:51in Darbar-e-Risalat
27:53with our Prophet.
27:55After Waqfah,
27:57we are back
27:59with ARYQ TV,
28:01Lahore Studios,
28:03and our program
28:05is on Ittihad-e-Ummat
28:07along with
28:09the Ummah,
28:11its structure,
28:13and its meaning.
28:15Mufti Fidaur Rahman,
28:17Haideri Sahab,
28:19is the star of our program.
28:21Mufti Sahab,
28:23one word is
28:25Ittihad-e-Ummat
28:27and the other is
28:29Ijma-e-Ummat.
28:31What is the difference
28:34between Ijma-e-Ummat
28:36and Ijtihad-e-Ummat?
28:42Ijtihad-e-Ummat
28:44is the unification
28:46of the Ummah.
28:48In terms of Ijma-e-Ummat,
28:50it is the unification
28:52of the Ummah
28:54and the scholars
28:56and jurists.
28:58However,
29:00there is a slight difference
29:02between Ijtihad-e-Ummat
29:04and Zanni-e-Ummat.
29:06In Ijtihad-e-Ummat,
29:08the unification
29:10of a group of scholars
29:12is also known as Ijma-e-Ummat.
29:16And the opposition
29:18of a group
29:20of scholars
29:22is not against Ijma-e-Ummat.
29:24One aspect of Ijma-e-Ummat
29:26is that in the time
29:28of the companions of the Prophet,
29:31Ibn-e-Siddiq-e-Akbar
29:33and his Khilafat,
29:35the first Surah
29:37of Ijma-e-Ummat
29:39was revealed
29:41to the Ummah.
29:45Even today,
29:47there are many issues
29:49regarding the unification
29:51of all the jurists
29:53and the Ummah.
29:55In the present era,
29:57I think that
30:00the Surah of Ijma-e-Ummat
30:02was revealed
30:04to the Ummah
30:06by the followers
30:08of the one
30:10who claimed to be
30:12the Prophet
30:14in contrast
30:16to the Prophet
30:18who claimed to be
30:20the Seal of Prophethood.
30:22The one who claimed
30:24to be the Seal of Prophethood
30:26and the followers
30:28of Ijma-e-Ummat.
30:30As far as the unification is concerned,
30:32the Muslims of East and West
30:34unite
30:36and say that
30:38our relationship
30:40is based on friendship
30:42and it is a shield.
30:44If there is any enmity,
30:46we all unite
30:48and leave our personal
30:50interests and interests
30:52and unite for the wider
30:54benefit of the Ummah.
30:57This is a common practice
30:59and will continue.
31:01I would like to say
31:03that you mentioned
31:05Ijma-e-Ummat
31:07and gave some examples
31:09regarding Ijma-e-Ummat.
31:11As far as
31:13jurisprudence is concerned,
31:15there are many differences
31:17in jurisprudence
31:19and they are not fundamental.
31:21They have been going on
31:23since the time of
31:25Hazrat Umar.
31:27Hazrat Umar thought
31:29that the dead will be punished.
31:31Syeda Asha Siddiqa thought
31:33that the dead will not be punished
31:35because what is the matter
31:37of the dead?
31:39Similarly,
31:41Syeda Asha Siddiqa thought
31:43that it is permissible
31:45to apply perfume
31:47before tying Ihram.
31:49On the contrary,
31:51Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Umar
31:54did not think so.
31:56Similarly,
31:58if we look at the differences
32:00of Ijma-e-Mujtahideen,
32:02I would like to say
32:04that for the convenience
32:06of the Ummah,
32:08Allah has made
32:10those differences
32:12a source of mercy for the Ummah.
32:14For example,
32:16the sea animals
32:18are permissible
32:20for Imam Malik
32:22and for Imam Shafi'i
32:24and Imam Malik
32:26who are the followers
32:28of Indonesia and Malaysia
32:30are the people
32:32of coastal areas.
32:34On the contrary,
32:36those who follow
32:38Imam Abu Hanifa
32:40are the people
32:42of subcontinent.
32:44According to Imam Shafi'i,
32:46the sea animals
32:48are permissible
32:51for Imam Malik
32:53and for Imam Shafi'i
32:55who are the followers
32:57of Indonesia
32:59and Malaysia
33:01are the people
33:03of subcontinent.
33:05Therefore,
33:07for the convenience
33:09of the Ummah,
33:11Allah has made
33:13those differences
33:15a source of mercy
33:17for the Ummah.
33:19Therefore,
33:21for the convenience
33:23of the Ummah,
33:25Allah has made
33:27those differences
33:29a source of mercy
33:31for the Ummah.
33:33Therefore,
33:35for the convenience
33:37of the Ummah,
33:39Allah has made
33:41those differences
33:43a source of mercy
33:45for the Ummah.
33:48How did someone
33:50decide on someone?
33:52How did someone decide on someone?
33:54Mufti Sahab summarized
33:56that those differences
33:58should also be a source of mercy.
34:00Today,
34:02how can we apply
34:04the jurisprudential differences
34:06on the unity of the Ummah?
34:08And these jurisprudential differences
34:10that do not
34:12have the status of principle
34:14but have the status of forgery
34:17should be a source of goodness
34:19but
34:21they are a source of disbelief
34:23and
34:25they are a source of
34:27hatred against each other.
34:29Why is it so?
34:31How can we get rid of it?
34:33Doctor, I think
34:35that the jurisprudential differences
34:37are like
34:39as Mufti Sahab said
34:41they are a source of mercy.
34:43What is mercy?
34:45Is it the name of harshness?
34:47No.
34:49For example,
34:51as Mufti Sahab said
34:53that Imam Shafi'i,
34:55Imam Malik,
34:57the sea creatures are like this.
34:59I went to Japan in 1998.
35:01I had a disciple.
35:03His mother hosted a feast
35:05in Osaka.
35:07He knew that
35:09as his mother was not a Muslim,
35:11he cooked the fish
35:14and also added
35:16the sea pea.
35:18Okay.
35:20Now I will tell you
35:22that at that time
35:24if I had only taken out the fish
35:26then it would have been
35:28a source of mercy.
35:30But at that time
35:32I took advantage of Imam Shafi'i
35:34and I said
35:36that Jenga was so delicious
35:38that it is actually a fish
35:40which our people
35:42eat.
35:44But there is mercy in it.
35:46I ate it.
35:48So there is a need
35:50to give knowledge
35:52to this Ummah.
35:54I think
35:56there is a lack of knowledge.
35:58They should see this.
36:00I ask them
36:02that for example
36:04if you are from the same sect
36:06then who do you pray behind
36:08in the Kaaba?
36:11These are the things
36:13which are a source of mercy.
36:15See how easy it is to travel.
36:17Now if you go from Lahore
36:19and go to America or Washington
36:21my son keeps going
36:23so if you travel from here at 8 o'clock
36:25then when you reach Washington
36:27it will be 8 o'clock in the morning.
36:29Tell me, what should I do now?
36:31So there is Ijtihad.
36:33This is what Mufti Sahab is saying.
36:35Now the one who is travelling
36:37what will be the mercy for him?
36:39So Islam is
36:41religion and mercy.
36:43This is not a struggle.
36:45This is beneficial
36:47but people should gain knowledge
36:49and the other should issue a fatwa
36:51that he is not a disbeliever.
36:53If he is a disbeliever
36:55then it is a big problem
36:57that we don't stand down.
36:59Dr. Mufti Kareem Khan Sahab
37:01this is the end of the program.
37:03What message of Ijtihad
37:05will you give as a result of this discussion?
37:08We have seen the differences
37:10and we have seen the principles
37:12of Islam.
37:14How should we
37:16put our lives in Ijtihad?
37:18What should we do?
37:20I think Dr. Sahab
37:22when Khilafat broke in 1924
37:24we will have to go back
37:26to the previous years.
37:28The Ummah was established.
37:30Because of the differences
37:32there are no differences.
37:34The differences that we have
37:37seen in Ijtihad
37:39may be 5%
37:41but there are many
37:43differences in principles.
37:45We should leave
37:47the principles
37:49of Ijtihad.
37:51Imam Yazid Munif
37:53and his followers
37:55have written a will
37:57that
37:59we should not
38:01mention the principles
38:03of Ijtihad
38:05but we should mention
38:07the principles of society,
38:09jurisprudence and daily life.
38:11The meaning of Ummah
38:13is in its place.
38:15For the Ummah
38:17it is necessary to form
38:19a system of governments.
38:21We should do it in the way
38:23of Khilafat and the system of
38:25the Prophet.
38:27We should mention
38:29all the principles
38:31of Ijtihad
38:34and we should leave
38:36the principles of Ummah.
38:38Thank you very much
38:40Dr. Kareem Khan.
38:42This is the end of the program.
38:44Thank you very much.
38:50Ladies and gentlemen,
38:52this is the end of the program.
38:54I would like to say that
38:56if we interpret Ijtihad
38:58as a building
39:00or a symbol
39:02of Ijtihad,
39:04then Ijtihad
39:06is the foundation
39:08of that building.
39:10The differences
39:12between us
39:14are the decoration
39:16and decoration
39:18of Ijtihad.
39:20These decorations
39:22are the colors
39:24of Kaws-e-Kaza
39:26and the colors
39:28are always different.
39:30Allah Hafiz.
