00:15of terrorist militants.
00:21In Iceland, early parliamentary elections continued following the dissolution of the
00:24governing coalition amidst snowstorm warnings in several regions of the country.
00:34And in Venezuela, the people, along with the army and the police, joined forces in a nationwide
00:38trio to defend the homeland.
00:45Hello welcome from the south, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from the Lesus Studios in Havana, Cuba.
00:51We begin with the news.
01:09With the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in place, the Lebanese authorities are now
01:13turning their attention to rebuilding the areas most affected by the war.
01:17Lebanese officials, led by interim prime minister Nimr Kady, are expected to visit
01:21Gulf countries to seek funding for reconstruction.
01:24The World Bank estimates the damage to housing in Lebanon alone at 2-point-billion dollars,
01:29with 99-thousand homes partially or totally destroyed by Israel's aggression.
01:34Intense Israeli airstrikes over the past two months have flattened entire neighborhoods
01:38in eastern and southern Lebanon, as well as in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
01:44In Palestine, Israeli occupation forces killed five humanitarian workers in the southern
01:52Gaza Strip.
01:53An Israeli drone fired a vehicle belonging to the humanitarian organization World Central
01:57Bank.
01:58The car was traveling on the Salah al-Din Road.
02:00Meanwhile, another attack on Friday night targeted a residential apartment in the Sheikh
02:05neighborhood northwest of Gaza, where at least 10 civilians were killed and others wounded.
02:10Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli army has carried out a genocidal operation against
02:14the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, claiming the lives of more than 40,000 citizens,
02:20most of them women and children.
02:26Several organizations defending the rights of Palestinian prisoners denounce the use
02:30of different methods of torture by Israel against Palestinian detainees.
02:35According to these organizations, thousands of inmates in prisons and in camps administered
02:40by the Israeli army have been facing harsh conditions since the beginning of its war
02:44against the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
02:47They also denounce the use of starvation, sexual aggression, sleep deprivation, beatings,
02:51among others, at a non-precedented level in the history of the conflict.
02:55Moreover, Israeli forces prevent tortured victims, prisoners, from having access to
03:00medical treatment.
03:01Since the beginning of the new phase of violence, at least 45 Palestinian prisoners have died
03:06in Israeli prisons.
03:12The United Nations Children's Fund and the World Health Organization have reiterated
03:16the urgency for a ceasefire in Gaza on humanitarian grounds.
03:20Representatives of these two international organizations warn that 90 percent of the
03:24population in the Gaza Strip is living in tents, which leaves them vulnerable to respiratory
03:29and other diseases, food insecurity and malnutrition.
03:33The agencies further noted that while there is an urgent need for Israel to allow humanitarian
03:38aid to enter the enclave to meet the basic and urgent needs of the Gazan population,
03:42this does not constitute a definitive solution to their suffering.
03:46The UN officials also reiterated the urgency of a ceasefire to work towards peace.
03:56And the Syrian Army reinforced the lines of defense in the cities of Aleppo and Idlib
04:00following the incursion of terrorist militants.
04:03In a statement, the General Command of the Army and the Syrian Armed Forces said the
04:07move comes after terrorist organizations launched a large-scale attack from multiple directions
04:12on the Aleppo and Idlib fronts.
04:14They also stated that the military is temporary and is only aimed at protecting civilian and
04:19military lives, as well as preparing for a counterattack.
04:22The military special forces in Damascus ratified their commitment to fulfill their national
04:26duty in the fight against armed groups and to restore the control of the state.
04:36For their part, Russian Armed Forces aircraft supported the Syrian counteroffensive and
04:40shelled the positions of the illegal armed groups.
04:42According to the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Enemy Parties in Syria, Russian troops
04:47eliminated no less than 200 terrorists.
04:49The Russian entity stressed that the anti-terrorist operations continue.
04:59And in Brazil, citizens carried out activities in the city of Sao Paulo, in the framework
05:04of their International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
05:08The event took place at the Palestinian bar and restaurant Al Jania, which can also be
05:13described as a cultural center and entertainment space.
05:17During the meeting, participants held discussions on the situation in the Gaza Strip and expressed
05:21their rejection of the Israeli genocide that has already claimed the lives of more than
05:2544,000 civilians.
05:26The event also included exhibitions of documentaries and political actions.
05:32This event responds to a call of the Palestinian Resistance to celebrate the 30th of November
05:38and the 1st of December as World Days of the Palestinian Struggle and the Palestinian People.
05:50It is very important to remember all the massacres that Israel is committing against the Palestinian
05:56People.
05:57It is important to remember that the Palestinian Resistance called for November 30th and December
06:021st as World Days of the Palestinian Struggle and for the Palestinian People.
06:07Today, this Brazilian cultural and political center is doing this event, so that the people
06:13of Brazil understand more about what is happening in Palestine, and so that we, as Palestinian
06:18refugees in this country, feel that we are not alone.
06:23What we are seeing is the worst thing that can happen to humanity.
06:28Humanity lost all the wealth it had to commit genocide in the 21st century.
06:33Children, women, destruction, it is absurd, it is the worst of people.
06:40Now we have a short break coming up, but first remember you can join us on Tik Tok at TELESPORT

13:44The Excluded Workers Movement has described the situation facing sub-kitchens as distressing
13:50for they lack the resources to self-supply so centers, which scores of people depend on.
13:55In 2023, sub-kitchens functioned with food donated by the government, but with the Mele
14:00administration, donations stopped.
14:02Several social organizations that seek to help families face the onslaught of Mele's
14:06policies are confronted with a lack of state policies to support the most vulnerable sectors
14:11and with growing food inequality.

15:46summit from taking place.
15:48The worldwide anti-globalization movement is characterized by its rejection of the neoliberal
15:53capitalist model and the demand for social justice.
15:56It includes environmentalists, feminists, anarchists, Christians, former communists,
16:00defenders of human rights and others.
16:03Their main strategy consists of taking advantage of the meetings of the most important multilateral
16:08organizations, to call for massive parallel demonstrations as they did with great echo
16:13in Seattle, Washington and Prague.
16:23The final of the Copa Libertadores 2024, which will define the champion of the continental
