00:00In Ireland, vote counting continues following parliamentary elections held Friday, November 29.
00:06According to local media, early Sunday morning, 36 of the seats in the Irish Parliament had been
00:11called, 11 for candidates of the centre-right party, Fianna Fáil, 9 for the Fianna Fáil party, 8 for
00:17the centre-left opposition Sinn Féin, and the rest went to independent candidates and candidates
00:21representing smaller parties. Exit polls suggest that the incumbent centre-right parties could
00:26probably form a coalition government. Ireland uses a proportional representation system in which
00:31each of its 43 constituencies elects several legislators and voters rank candidates in order
00:37of preference. In other news, the Serbian government denies its involvement in the
00:45attack that hit the water and electricity distribution and supply system in Kosovo.
00:49So far, Kosovo authorities have arrested eight people in the area where the incident took place,
00:54populated mostly by Serbians. The Serbian president assured that the link with this
00:58terrorist act is part of a hybrid war against his country. He also revealed that they already
01:04have some suspects as a result of the investigations carried out by Belgrade.
01:15As a serious country, we are not involved in allegations. We did not say, and I won't say it
01:22either today, that Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurdi directly ordered the attack.
01:28The investigation will show. Because we are conducting our own investigation, of course,
01:34we have certain suspicions, but investigations will finally show who ordered it.
01:40We believe that we have some knowledge even on who might be the perpetrator.
01:46In Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro led the great cultural takeover in defense of peace
01:51and affirmed that capitalism will never be an alternative at the table for the people.
01:55The Venezuelan president assured that for the people to be slaves of the racist and
01:59fascist far-right is not and will never be an option, because the people will always defend
02:05national sovereignty. Likewise, the Venezuelan head of state emphasized that the year 2024 was
02:09one of victories, where fascism was defeated through unity. Furthermore, President Maduro
02:14emphasized that he will always be ready to fight in the front lines to defend peace and democracy
02:18of the people.
