00:00Mary Tess Laurente thanked the government for the arrest of her brother, Mary Jane Veloso, who was on the verge of going home to the Philippines.

00:10Manny Laurente told us about the abuse he experienced from his employer, Alan Francisco of PTV, in Balitang Pambansa.

00:18Mary Jane Veloso's brother, Mary Tess Laurente, returned to the country yesterday after serving more than a year in Damam, Saudi Arabia.

00:31Under the guidance of the Labor Attaché of the Philippines in Damam, Mary Tess returned to her hometown in Nueva Ecija.

00:37She was awarded a scholarship in TESDA and a financial assistance of P50,000.

00:42In the interview of Ulat Bayan Weekend with Mary Tess, she shared the abuse she experienced from her employer.

00:50It happened twice.

00:53The first time, my employer told me that he was showing me illicit pictures and videos.

01:03I told him, I don't want that.

01:06Sometimes, while I was washing dishes, he grabbed me from behind and held me to the back of my body.

01:18I told that to my employer, but instead of helping me, it was worse.

01:32Since then, my employer became mad at me. I don't believe him anymore.

01:42This detail was the first thing she told DMW Secretary Hanslio Cagdac when they met and visited their home in Nueva Ecija.

01:52When I was on video call with my husband, Secretary Cagdac was here in our house.

01:58Here in the house of his mother, Celia.

02:01So when I found out that they were here, I told my husband to talk to them because he asked for help.

02:09Meanwhile, Mary Tess is thankful for the government's quick response to the case of her sister, Mary Jane.

02:18I am happy that after more than a decade, we can be together again with Mary Jane.

02:29Our family and we can be together again. I am happy.

02:35For now, their family is preparing to welcome Mary Jane, who has been a nun for more than 10 years and has been separated from them.
