01:00can you hear that? Oh, I got you. Loud and clear. Okay. Let's do a show three, two, one.
01:29Game day is right around the corner. Lions and Packers Thursday night. Prime time. Another
01:35big game for this football team. And John, we're getting down to it. They need every
01:38single one of these Vikings nipping at their heels, Eagles refusing to lose and the Lions
01:44and they're not a hundred percent. Well, they're not a hundred percent, obviously a lot of
01:47injuries on the defensive side of the ball. I mean, last week it was nine guys that had
01:51started on defense that are no longer available. Um, 12 total guys on the defensive side of
01:57things. And they've done a great job. I think Brad Holmes has done a great job of finding
02:00other players like a David Long jr. There's other examples, but when you have, when you've
02:06built this roster going into the season to be able to sustain some injuries and you know,
02:11you're going to have them throughout the course of the year, you just hope it's not your best
02:13defensive player.
02:15And you hope it's not your best defensive back. And you hope that some things that worked
02:19for you last year will be able to happen again this year, but they've constructed the roster
02:23so that they can have guys that fill up and fill in. And when you talk to Dan Campbell,
02:27we talked to him earlier in the week, it was, Hey, we have a whole bunch of football players.
02:31We're not concerned. We're going to put guys out there and they're going to perform. They're
02:33in the middle of a gauntlet, right? No bi-week for 13 straight. And you play short week Thanksgiving,
02:39you get more injuries. And now you're staring down a game against the green Bay Packers
02:42in division. And you wonder like, is there a bottom here? Do they eventually get punished
02:47from all these injuries, but to their credit, to their Testament, they lose Aiden Hutchinson.
02:52They go on the road, they beat the Minnesota Vikings, right? They've gone on the road and
02:56beat these green Bay Packers. They've gone on the road and beat the Houston Texans. These
02:59are playoff teams and they've done it without being a hundred percent. So you almost have
03:02to just give them the credit here and trust that Aaron Glenn and Dan Campbell are going
03:08to be able to pull guys in, get buy-in and get enough to keep winning these games.
03:12And the examples you mentioned was Dallas on the road, Minnesota on the road. It was
03:18green Bay on the road, Houston on the road. Now they're getting a stretch when they are
03:23up of some home games, right? You just had the Thanksgiving game at home against Chicago.
03:27If you're going to be banged up, it's better to be playing at home because this fan base
03:31has been energized. They've been, they turned a Lucas oil into a home field advantage for
03:38the Detroit lions. Now, all of a sudden it's Ford field, it's Thursday night football,
03:42and it doesn't get any bigger. And this fan base has been begging for moments like this
03:47at this point in the season, this fan base goes bonkers every single time we have a home
03:51game. And we've seen it on the road to your point where teams have to use a silent count.
03:56Houston Texans prime time game at their house, where their fans should have shown out and
03:59they had to use a silent count at home. Now, imagine you're the visiting team teams hate
04:03playing at Detroit.
04:04This fan base has decades of frustration that they are willing to let out every Sunday they
04:10can. And in this case, a Thursday where they can get a chance to go at the green Bay Packers.
04:14It's a tough place to play. It's also a place that Detroit's very comfortable playing. Like
04:18about it. If all these injuries on defense are a storyline, you need someone to step
04:23up and pick up the slack on offense. So it's Jerry golf, it's indoors, it's all the weapons
04:28and he's been so good this season.
04:30Well, he has, I mean, how many times has he had the perfect passer rating and how many
04:33times has he thrown multiple touchdowns? How many times has he been able to respond when,
04:38when not playing well, and then be able to, to, to put drives together at the end of Minnesota,
04:42at the end of the Houston game. And again, we're talking about at home. And if you're
04:46going to be banged up on defense, I mentioned it. All right. You want to be playing at home?
04:50When is the crowd going to be the loudest when, what side of the ball will they help
04:54the most defense defense? Because, and I'm, I I've played in Seattle where they, they
04:59quote unquote have the 12th man.
05:00I think we're taking that moniker over and, and Ford field and all the season ticket holders
05:05will probably agree with that. But if you have that advantage where a team can't hear,
05:09can't even think about what is going on, you're banged up on defense. It's advantage Detroit
05:14lions. And how about this fan base you mentioned, or we talked about, they've been begging
05:18for moments like this. What were the games that we pointed to on the schedule, the season
05:24ticket holders, those that have been there through thick and thin we're looking forward
05:28to the most green Bay Thursday night at home, the Buffalo bills at home in prime time, everybody
05:34in the country, everybody around the world is going to be watching this team.
05:38It's all right in front of them.
