00:09A family has hit out after the driver who killed their teenage son and brother was released
00:13early from jail. Harley Smith from Grangemouth was only 16 when he was knocked off his bike
00:19and killed in Loriston in November 2020. The Mercedes driver from Reading, who was doing
00:2680 miles per hour in a 30 mile zone, was jailed for five years in 2022, but Harley's family has
00:33been told the parole board saw fit to release him last month, days after the anniversary of
00:38the teenager's death. Strathcartan Hospice has revealed it's closing its charity shop in Denny,
00:44the place where its retail empire began almost four decades ago. A bus driver who admitted
00:50drinking a bottle of rum during his shift when he drove passengers from Stirling to Falkirk has
00:55narrowly escaped jail. It's congratulations to everyone involved at Ciro's Restaurant at
01:01Glenberthy after they picked up three trophies and the recent Scottish Italian Awards, including
01:07Best Chef. Falkirk Council has revealed it is going to train up its building maintenance team
01:13and other skills so they can carry out repairs quicker than waiting on other tradesmen.

01:49and who became Barclay League One Player of the Year for her role in the team's championship
