00:00Meteorologist Joe Lumberg and of course route one going through. I was going to say I know that area.
00:06I have walked and ridden that place so many times, Bernie. That's hometown for me.
00:10All right, now listen, I wasn't home last Friday back in northeastern parts of Pennsylvania,
00:16so I wasn't here. But let's take a look at what you and Melissa were talking about last week.
00:24We get to next weekend and into the early part of the following week,
00:27the upper level trough axis starts to push west. The ridge axis moves off the west coast.
00:32That allows the disturbance to come into the southern plains, the lower Mississippi Valley.
00:36The question is, will it turn up the coast and bring some snow across the interior northeast
00:40or go out to sea? That's the million dollar question. We don't have the answer to that just yet.
00:47But we're starting to get that answer. And Joe, you know what? Listen,
00:50this was the Friday after Thanksgiving. We talked about early the upcoming week
00:56that we're middle part of the week. There's going to be a storm.
00:59And that's one of our highlights for next week. Bernie, we talked about that actually the week
01:04before Thanksgiving. So we come up with a map. So things have not really changed much,
01:09but now we're starting to get more clarity. And that's part of our three things to know
01:12highlighted by this a midweek storm. There's going to be a temperature roller coaster. It's
01:16going to get mild. Then the front comes through and it gets colder. Then it gets mild again by
01:20next weekend. Pretty good news for the southwest. It's going to be dry and tranquil for much of
01:24next week. All right, let's take a look at this for the middle part of next week. Listen, we have
01:29a storm early part of the week that brings a boundary that stalls from Maine toward the
01:35southeast. That kind of sets the stage for the storm. Yeah, it looks like some that system comes
01:40into the east Monday and Monday night. It's really kind of a warm advection type of thing,
01:43but it leaves a boundary in this general area. Then a disturbance comes in from the jet stream,
01:47starts to cause an area of low pressure to develop. It moves up the eastern seaboard,
01:51and we're pretty confident of that. A soaking rain up and down the eastern seaboard, probably
01:55the heaviest precipitation in these areas. But is there going to be enough cold air on the back
01:59side for some snow? We think there probably will be, Bernie. All right, really quickly,
02:03let's take a look at the upcoming weekend, Joe, so the week from now. Yeah, it looks like that
02:08jet stream retreats back to the north. Mild air returns to this nation's midsection and comes
02:12east. A little chillier in the northwest, maybe some storminess.
