00:00Hello there. Very good evening to you. Hope you have had a lovely weekend, although Sunday
00:06is ending on an increasingly wet and windy note for some of us. Although high pressure
00:10is keeping things generally drier further towards the south, we've now got this cold
00:13front that is stalling its way across areas of Scotland and over the next 24, 36 hours,
00:19the rainfall totals really will be building up widely. Half a month's worth of rain falling
00:24across parts of the Highlands, even into northern areas of Argyll and Bute. Locally, we could
00:28see up to 150 millimetres of rain. That is certainly enough to provide some travel issues
00:33and disruption. And as a result, this yellow rain warning has now come into force across
00:38this part of Scotland. It runs all the way through until midday on Tuesday. We do have
00:43the additional impact of snowmelt as well, which will add further water into our river
00:48system. So do take care here. Some quite squally winds around northern areas of Scotland as
00:52well overnight. Generally for Northern Ireland, England and Wales, it is drier, if still rather
00:57cloudy. The odd spot of drizzle in there at times as well. Quite mild for most of us
01:02though, temperatures overnight holding up around 11 or 10 degrees Celsius. Just something
01:06a little bit cooler there across the far north of Scotland, five degrees Celsius to kick
01:11off Monday morning at Lerwick. The rain band will be in place across particularly western
01:16areas of Scotland throughout much of Monday. A very wet, damp and miserable day to come
01:21here, unfortunately. We will, though, across Northern Ireland, England and Wales, see some
01:25slightly brighter, sunnier spells developing. Hopefully that cloud breaking up to provide
01:29a bit of brightness in there for many of us. The winds, though, are still going to be quite
01:33brisk for many of us. So if you are stepping outside whilst it's going to be mild temperatures
01:38on the thermometer around 11 to 10 degrees Celsius, it's probably not necessarily going
01:42to feel quite that way if you are exposed to the strongest of those gusts. It's Monday
01:48evening as well. We do hold on to a very similar picture before eventually that cold front
01:52will slip its way off. We do then have another area of low pressure moving in from the Atlantic
01:57for Tuesday to provide further areas of rainfall. The most persistent of these looking to move
02:02across Northern Ireland and then into Scotland throughout the day. A few showers are possible
02:06for England and Wales, but generally there's the chance of some drier, some slightly brighter
02:10interludes in there as well. Strong, gusty winds developing with gales around western
02:15coastal areas, but they're coming in from a southerly direction, which means once again,
02:19it is going to be widely mild for the time of year. 10, 11 degrees Celsius once again
02:25as the top temperatures for many of us. But this mild theme is not going to last right
02:30throughout the rest of the week. A change in wind direction later on means that from
02:34Thursday onwards, our temperatures are looking to noticeably drop down quite a bit. So something
02:39cooler and crisper arriving for many of us. We'll have plenty more updates on that on
02:44the YouTube channel, so do make sure you're subscribed for those and we'll see you again
02:47here later on. Bye bye.
