Liam Keen and Rory Drury ask what went wrong for Wolves, and can Vitor Pereira fix it?
Transcript
00:00What's your opinion on Vitor Pereira? It's kind of come out of the woodwork. If you do a quick
00:04Google of him, he's had many, many, many clubs. He doesn't seem to stay anywhere too long,
00:10but what's your initial thoughts, reaction to that?
00:13Yeah, me and Nathan did do a video when he decided to work. We did a video Sunday,
00:18very briefly, and gave a little bit of a background of who he is and what he is.
00:24And I can understand why there'd be a little bit of mixed feeling. At the same time,
00:27he hasn't even arrived and hasn't even got the job yet. So maybe let's give him the benefit
00:31of the doubt. But he has an excellent early start in his career, eventually took over as
00:38first-team coach, well, head coach rather, at Porto. He was the assistant to Andre Villas-Boas
00:43there from 2010, I think it was. 2011, he took over to 2013 as head coach, won back-to-back
00:49league titles there with a very good Porto team, and has a relatively mixed career since then.
00:56Some good clubs, don't get me wrong. Fenerbahce, he's been to China, he's been to Saudi Arabia.
01:01He's been in charge of some decent clubs, but has jumped around a lot. Did, unfortunately,
01:08relegate the 1806 Munich side from the second division of German football in 2016 as well,
01:13which I think is an important thing to bring up. But he's been very determined to get to the
01:19Premier League, and it looks like he's going to get his wish. It's a risk from Wolves'
01:25perspective, but he is a tactically astute manager, and if he can control this team and
01:32get them back down to earth and avoid all of the post-match antics, which we are going to discuss
01:39in a second with some of these players, then hopefully he'll be the one to get Wolves out of
01:44trouble.
