00:00Hello there, good afternoon. We're going to see a bit of a split in our weather today,
00:04feeling colder in the north with some blustery showers. Milder in the south though, we are
00:08going to see some outbreaks of rain slowly edge their way in from the southwest, creeping
00:13into southwestern parts of England and Wales by the time we reach the afternoon. This could
00:17be quite heavy and persistent at times as it edges its way eastwards. Away from this
00:21though it should be largely dry, a mix of cloud and some clearer spells. Clearer to
00:26the far north of the country too, we're going to see plenty of blustery showers creep their
00:30way into northwestern parts of Scotland, western coasts of Northern Ireland too. It's feeling
00:34chilly here and some of these showers could fall as snow at times, particularly over high
00:39ground. But across the south it is still going to be largely mild for the time of year as
00:43that cloud and rain continues to creep its way in from the west. Still overnight we'll
00:48continue to see those longer and more persistent outbreaks of rain, still some heavy bursts
00:52possible at times too as it slowly edges its way towards the southeast. To the north
00:58of this though it's allowing a brisk northerly wind to develop across much of the country
01:02so it's going to be feeling much colder by the time we reach Thursday morning. And still
01:06plenty of those blustery showers, a few more starting to feed in further south across parts
01:11of Wales and southwest England and still a chance we could see some snow across higher
01:15ground by the time we reach Thursday morning as well. But we will also see some clearer
01:20spells, these mainly in the east away from the cloud and rain across the very far southeast.
01:25This though eventually clearing away and actually there should be lots of sunshine around by
01:29the time we reach Thursday. Still can't rule out those showers though, particularly around
01:33coasts, particularly around western coasts of England and Wales and still plenty feeding
01:37into the far north of Scotland. And although there will be plenty of dry weather around,
01:42plenty of sunshine, it is going to be feeling much chillier. If we take a look at those
01:46temperatures really struggling, more towards average for the time of year, highs of around
01:50seven to eight Celsius but we're going to see a really keen north to northwesterly breeze
01:55and if you take a look at what the temperatures are actually going to feel like you can see
01:58it's going to feel much chillier. So a very different feel by the time we reach tomorrow.
02:04And then into the evening once again it is going to remain chilly, rather blustery at
02:08times particularly to the far north of Scotland so that's going to stop any widespread frost
02:12developing but we could see a little bit particularly around sheltered spots and once
02:16again largely dry overnight, plenty of clear spells but still those showers moving in around
02:21those western coasts. And to finish off on Friday, further rain moving in from the northwest,
02:26a cold front erratically moving towards the southeast bringing some heavy outbreaks of
02:30rain and this leads us into a largely unsettled weekend at times too. Once again some longer
02:35spells of rain, some blustery showers and take a look at the squeeze in the ice bars
02:38too. It is going to be fairly windy for many of us as we head into the weekend particularly
02:43on Saturday across the far northwest with a chance we could see some warnings issued
02:47so do keep an eye on our website for those. Otherwise that's it from me, bye bye for now.
