00:00Hello there, good evening. I hope you managed to catch some sunshine today as it looks likely
00:05that we're going to see plenty of unsettled weather as we head into the weekend. To start
00:10off with though, into tonight it's going to be largely dry for many of us, any showers
00:14largely dying away. It's too breezy to form any kind of widespread frost, though we may
00:18see pockets around sheltered rural spots. A change on its way though across the far
00:23north-west where we're likely to see outbreaks of rain across north-west Scotland, western
00:28parts of Northern Ireland by the time we reach the morning. These could be quite heavy
00:33and persistent at times and it is going to be a chilly night for all with the driest
00:37and brightest of the weather across the far south-east to start on Friday. Then we'll
00:42start to see something a bit more unsettled to end the week. Outbreaks of rain slowly
00:46moving their way towards the south-east of the country. This heavy once again and persistent
00:51at times as it moves its way erratically towards the south-east. To the north of this though
00:56it will be clearer, plenty of blustery showers moving through though. Some of these could
01:01be heavy, we may even see some hail and thunder and still some winteriness across higher ground
01:06in Scotland. And looking at temperatures, they are a degree or so up compared to Thursday
01:12but particularly in that north-westerly wind they are going to feel quite chilly. Then
01:17through into the evening we'll eventually say goodbye to that cloud and rain as it moves
01:21away from the south-east. We'll see a brief calmer spell before further outbreaks of rain
01:26move their way in from the west. Once again these could be quite persistent and heavy
01:30at times with plenty of blustery showers to the north-west of this too. And those brisk
01:35winds once again are going to make things feel rather chilly by the time we reach Saturday
01:39morning. Then through over the weekend we are likely to see an unsettled spell of weather.
01:44Low pressure just to the north of the country sweeping in some weather front so some outbreaks
01:49of rain and really creating a squeeze in the ice bars too. Particularly around north-western
01:53areas on Saturday and then more widespread across western areas by the time we reach
01:58Sunday. And there are quite a few weather warnings out already for winter so do keep
02:01an eye on those particularly if you are travelling around for the Christmas period. Then through
02:07into Saturday we'll eventually see those outbreaks of rain once again move their way towards
02:12the south-east of the country. So quite cloudy with outbreaks of rain across much of southern
02:17and central areas of England and Wales. And to the north of this it will be clearer but
02:21still plenty of those blustery showers moving through. Once again quite heavy at times and
02:26falling as snow. Mainly across hills but we may even see some flurries of snow to lower
02:31levels across Scotland too. With a yellow wind warning in force through Saturday across
02:35much of the north-west. So likely to see quite an unsettled day. It's starting to turn a
02:40little bit milder once again across the south but still feeling fairly chilly across the
02:44north-west if you add on that wind chill. So into the weekend likely to see some very
02:51strong winds at times particularly across western and northern parts of Scotland. There
02:56are some weather warnings issued so do have a look at those on our website particularly
03:00if you are travelling around for the Christmas period as it's likely we'll see some disruption
03:05particularly to travel. And of course for more updates on the weekend weather you can
03:09catch Aidan later. Otherwise that's it from me. Bye bye for now.
