One of the first pedestrian zones in Bavaria is located in the center of the Alpine town. Almost 2 km long, it is the heart of the city center. Many shops invite you to stroll, shop and window shop in an attractive setting and promise a shopping experience that you will remember fondly.

00:00EXPLOSION
00:30On our hunt for the white gold, we reach a spring from which salt has been mined for
00:38thousands of years, Bad Reichenhol.
00:43We stroll through the town which on the one hand has everything a modern town needs, and
00:47on the other where time seems to have stood still here and there.
00:51To this day, the Alpine brine makes the former ducal town a leading spot on with many health
00:57and vacation guests.
01:05The brine is used here for a variety of medical and cosmetic treatments.
01:12The old salt works, a mighty industrial plant and technical masterpiece, still brings the
01:17brine to the surface with the old pumps, and supplies the local thermal baths through an
01:22underground network of pipes.
01:28This is not only a healthy affair, but also delights all those who are interested in the
01:321.0 industry.
03:03We take the cable car up to the Preditzstuhl mountain, which greets with nice weather and
03:10a magnificent view of Bad Reichenhol and the Chiemgau Alps.
03:32The town lies right in the middle of the Berchtesgaden Alps, with numerous paths for
03:54hiking and cycling.
04:24We're not here for cure, and we're not ill, so we pitched up at the campsite in
04:43Peding on the opposite bank of the Salek Creek, because there is so much to discover and experience
04:50around Bad Reichenhol.
04:58We decide to go cycling.
05:02You don't have to bring your own here, and we get ours from one of the numerous rental
05:06stations.
05:08Then we hit the road with electric tailwinds.
05:38Our conclusion.
05:45In Bad Reichenhol we meet lovely, friendly people, interesting things, for almost every
05:51taste, and breathtaking nature that is second to none.
