00:55In Palestine, the United Nations World Food Programme confirmed that the flow of humanitarian
01:17aid has dropped below 3% from October to date.
01:21According to the figures, only three out of 101 requests for food deliveries in the
01:26northern governorates have been approved by the Israeli authorities.
01:31The Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs warned that the near-total siege
01:35of the northern region is raising the expected famine.
01:39In addition to severe restrictions on the entry of food aid, the tiding siege has left
01:44some 15,000 people without access to food, water, electricity or health care.
01:55An Israeli artillery has shelled the third floor of the Al-Adwa Hospital in the besieged
02:00Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, as occupation forces' siege of the Indonesian
02:06hospital in Bethlehem continues.
02:09The Israeli army detonated remote-directed explosives in the nearly functioning Kamal
02:14Adwan Hospital in north Bethlehem, injuring at least 20 patients and medical staff.
02:20Meanwhile, also in Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers forced the wounded and sick to leave the Indonesian
02:28hospital.
02:29According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 21 died and 51 wounded across the region
02:35in the last 24 hours as a result of attacks on health facilities.
02:40Israel's genocide in Gaza has killed at least 45,338 Palestinians and wounded 107,764 since
02:51October 7, 2023.
02:57Also in Palestine, hundreds of parishioners gathered in the city of Bethlehem in the middle
03:02of another Christmas overshadowed by the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
03:07The mayor of Bethlehem, Anto Salman, pointed out that the expressions of joy during the
03:12festivities were limited, for which reason they avoided decorating the streets or putting
03:17up a Christmas tree, thus demonstrating that the Palestinian people continue to suffer
03:23from the injustice of the Israeli occupation.
03:26Further apart in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, hundreds of Christians attended
03:30the Christmas Eve Mass in the Church of the Holy Family.

04:57Gazprom also stated that Russia and gas played an important role in ensuring a sustainable
05:02gas supply to China, and added that it expects to maintain gas consumption in the Asian country.
05:08In this regard, energy systems based on natural gas and long-term contracts show their stability,
05:13which is especially important in conditions of changing world markets.
05:43Welcome back.
05:53A commercial airliner carrying more than 60 passengers crashed in Kazakhstan on Wednesday

09:12We are not for sale and never will be.

13:22In Ecuador, a constitutional court judge accepts a habeas corpus appeal and declares the existence
13:27of forced disappearances in the case of the four children detained by the military in
13:32Guayaquil.
13:33The judge, Tanya Lour, issued measures of integral reparation, requesting that the state
13:37continue the investigation to discover the whereabouts of the children.
13:42For her part, Lour ordered the Ministry of Health to provide psychological support to
13:47the families and ordered the creation of a five-member commission to carry out an investigation
13:51separate from that of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
13:54The Attorney General's Office also requested that a date be set for the hearing against
13:5816 military personnel involved in the case.
14:09In this context, the United Nations Committee on Enforced Disappearances requested Ecuador
14:13to adopt immediate measures to locate the four missing children in Guayaquil.
14:17Demand was made through a resolution that gives a deadline until January 7 for the government
14:22to respond to the case of the disappearance of brothers Josue and Ismael Arroyo and their
14:27friends Saul Arboleda and Steven Medina.
14:30These are precautionary measures that the competent state bodies must comply with in
14:34the given period of time.
14:35They include the establishment of a comprehensive strategy with an action plan and a timetable
14:40for the immediate search of the minors.
14:47The President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, decreed a 9.5% increase in the minimum wage
14:52as part of the labor policies promoted by his government.
14:55After several weeks of discussions at the Labor and Wage Policy Negotiation Table, the
14:59minimum wage increase was finally defined.
15:02President Petro assured that this is a key step to reduce the serious wage situation
15:06left by the past neoliberal governments.
15:08In this sense, Petro announced the increase from Zipaquira, where he was meeting with
15:13the community.
15:14And I am announcing here, today, that we are going to use these two figures, 5% average
15:35level of growth in the price of goods and, on the other hand, 2.7% average level of growth
15:47in food prices.
15:48Afterwards, we are going to compare them with the increase in the minimum wage, the minimum
15:56wage that we are proposing for next year, effective January 1st.
16:04This growth will be 9.54% per capita.
16:11Meanwhile in Haiti, two journalists were killed Tuesday while covering the reopening of a
16:15hospital in downtown Port-au-Prince.
16:17The dead have been identified as Markenzie Natu and Jimmy Jean, who were shot by gunmen
16:22who stormed the hospital, which is located in an area of high violence.
16:26According to the spokesperson of the online media collective, Robes Dimanche, other journalists
16:32were wounded in the attack and have been transferred to another public hospital.
16:35The attack comes amid growing insecurity in the Haitian capital, which claimed the lives
16:39of more than 200 people in early December.
16:49And in Argentina, social movements held at dinner in solidarity with the homeless in
16:53front of the National Congress in Buenos Aires.
16:56Organizations such as Proyecto 7, the Union of Workers of the Popular Economy, and the
17:00Movement of Excluded Workers carried out the initiative for the fifth consecutive year
17:04with the participation of hundreds of volunteers.
17:08According to the latter, last year more than 2,000 citizens participated, but this year
17:13the numbers have increased due to the economic crisis that the country is experiencing.
17:18There are currently nearly 12,000 Argentinians living on the streets in the capital alone,
17:23with an increase of at least 2,000 more than last year.
